Penalties for running out of vram also manifest itself in hitching and such. Did you experience this with the lower end cards?Our results show that FF XV will use a ton of VRAM in all tested scenarios, but this seems to be a performance optimization ("cram as much stuff into VRAM as possible") and not the game really requiring that much VRAM. If you look at the performance results below, cards with 4 GB or even 3 GB are doing reasonably well. Only at 4K with the texture pack enabled is there a clear penalty for cards with smaller VRAM amounts.

I did not see any "hitching" until the benchmarks settings put me under 15FPS. Results from SLIGHTLY LOW and STANDARD showed no "hitching" at all on my GTX960M 4GB , i56300HQ,Ram 8GBPenalties for running out of vram also manifest itself in hitching and such. Did you experience this with the lower end cards?
