Someone drilled a hole in the boat. This intentional leak is meant to create fluff and used higher than normal pricing to do it with, let the fake hype begin! Dont get me wrong, this also does boost anticipation so they can land the whales early on.

I strongly feel this 'light' mid-life refresh, along with the influx in availability of current offerings is preparation for selling multiple generations of product concurrently. This would allow them to retain the 'new pricing model' on new releases that the mining craze + wuflu lockdown caused us to accept, and 'near release MSRP' on previous generation products.

In my country a 3060 is still going for 500 euro, the 6600xt is 550 euro and the only 3 cards I'd buy - the 6700XT, 6800 and RTX 3070ti are well over MSRP - and now this. No thanks.

Now you guys can get the idea of what prices are like in Europe. If you're not ordering from Amazon or some big retailer directly, you're f*cked. 6700XTs going for over 900€ here in Slovenia still. Amazon 6700 XT is as low as 630€. Insane.

As I've mentioned, unless you're ordering directly from Amazon.de or some such store (not everyone in Europe lives in Germany), you get scalper prices. And you can't always get good postage from Germany. So it's a shit show, trust me. Our biggest PC parts store still has 6700XTs for 900+€ (more than 1k$US), so I call that f-ed up. Not to mention Nvidia prices. 1200€ for 3070? No thank you

Uhh really depends on country... Seen lots of cheap prices in Norway and Sweden, and where I live in the Netherlands (Amazon is pretty small compared to a lot of domestic resellers there).

Southern Europe in the past has usually been slower to get supply, slower for pricing fluctuations, and of order 3-10% over German pricing. It's not really a new thing or a scalping thing, it's just that they are buying from primarily German distributors so they have to pay more for shipping to their stores.

At this rate game developers will abandon PC or release games with low end graphics.
I think some people at Nvidia tried to look at the future releasing LHR gpu's but the majority decided to make a quick profit and said fu..k it.
In 10 years we will look at PC gaming like we look at Sega mega drive, good old days, giants like Blizzard have been bought by Microsoft and other game studios will eventually switch to consoles for good.

I do feel sorry for many in Europe who have to suffer VAT though.The prices really are improving in Australia though I haven't noticed any AMD GPU stock recently yet.
