@Solaris17 we need this command line parameter put in the bios flash guide for AMD/ATI
1, unlock the BIOS

Amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0

2, brush into the BIOS

Amdvbflash -f -p 0 XXXX .rom

Note: XXXX is the name of the VBIOS file you downloaded. You can also change the downloaded file name to a simple name.

Okay, took awhile to flash then got a blue screen on restart. I think that was to do with iGPU drivers just trying to install anyways.

It's now a 570 :) - that's what they should have sold it as instead of advertising as an RX 580.
Booted up MacOS as well with it and I have video acceleration :)

Thank you so much for your help, I was quite afraid of performing this myself. Thanks!

Just a question. Would it be possible to use the original BIOS but have it modified to identify as an RX 570 with it's deviceID?

I'm glad it worked for you try Polaris bios editor see if it allows you to adjust the device ID and subsystem ID

Im going to stick with the 570 BIOS actually. Some stuttering has disappeared in games such as Forza now(before it was unplayable if I installed drivers, now it works with drivers).

Honestly can't believe AMD are selling such a card. Some games perform better without the drivers installed.

Thank you so much for all your help btw! I appreciate it

Yeah but it wasn't even the temps. It's the actually card. It's a 570 underneath being sold as a 580. That shouldn't be allowed. On top of that the drivers break some games on the card. Those again are amds drivers. Bad practice honestly.

Its msi board design though and fyi rx570s are actually rx580s.

You do not understand semiconductor designs

So you know all companies build the best chip first then get their lesser models from those.
