Just like me. I rarely watch a normal league game but I never miss (work permitting) matches of the World Cup or European Cup, they are something else.

Wow man - sorry to hear that; however that being said I think it is a great idea!!!
I hardly ever watch soccer (sorry ~ football). This is one of those few occasions when I will, as will most of the world. And seeing that TPU is a "global" forum re-enforces this.

Apparently, as I saw on kentuckysportsradio.com, the UK and US embassies are holding a wager that the loser buys the other a meal. That's kind of a lame wager, but the Brits roasted the US with their closing comments, “The Ambassador takes his steak like American soccer victories - somewhat rare.” BOOM! Lol. I'll be cheering for USA, but that's still really funny.

On a personal note: I wish soccer was more prevalent in the U.S. instead of the distant 6th place it is now.

Haha, I'll be "cheering" for South Africa - in other words it'd be great if we didn't lose EVERY game, although I'm not expecting much - hard to compete with the top 32 teams while being 83rd in the world Not a football fan though... I'd be more impressed if we could successfully host the event.

and i bet you get mad at everything else thats hyped worldwide like 24hrs of lemans, the super bowl, the world series of baseball, basketball and all other sports related things get a grip dude if you lost respect go join [H] you'll fit in there. i mean how dare people give things away to support their favorite team how dare people have hobbies outside of computers.
