Was there another update or something?
I was playing yesterday till about 1AM and had no crashes or anything (552.22 drivers).

There was a bugfix that introduced this new bug. About that time for UK.

Well I wasn't able to play yesterday on my PC, but I was able to play on XBX.

No crashes (not surprised) and I was able to confirm that visually, the console version still looks better than PC too.
Still runs smoother as well, none of the choppiness during track intros etc or at the start of a race etc.

Yeah, to be 100% fair I'm doing to disable HDR (the old LG didn't have great HDR anyway but still).
Will also knock the resolution down to 1440 as well, though I believe in performance mode it already is mostly w dynamic res.

Things are a bit more washed out on the PC version by my eyes, the weather effects, lighting, reflections all have more pop on console.
I'm not saying it doesn't look good on PC (it does), but not as good as on XBX, at least to me anyway.

Good lord I just realized there was an option to run DLAA only
That made a noticeable difference vs the standard TAA and actually gives a decent bump in performance too.

I enjoy this game but it really needs more cars. One car from 2024 so far is not acceptable.

I'm still playing Forza 7 on Pc and my Xbox one X. I didn't want to buy the next gen till they come out with a better refresh console. Totally love playing Forza since 4.

Wow really only 1? Would have figured they'd have added more by now (I didn't pay for any car packs or anything).

They need to start adding more tracks too.
Personally found the career too short, but they are adding featured ones regularly which have been good.

I've 1700 hours in FM23. Shame it crashes at almost every opportunity. I launched the benchmark earlier, dialled my settings in and crash. When you are actually racing though the game is stunning.

The more they try to fix FM, the more they break. It's quite sad.

In the end, I reverted to the tried and tested, GRID games.
They work straight out of the box.

Odd, I've been playing this game almost daily for months and absolutely no issues with that.
Had a couple of crashes to desktop randomly in game or in race menu, but that's it.

Decided to leave DLAA on as the cockpit is a blurry mess with the standard TAA.
There are some bad effects though with straight lined objects in the distance (fences, signs, lights etc) , they get all wonky once you turn the wheel at all.

There was none of that in either of the Spiderman games I played w DLAA but to be fair they were much slower paced I guess.

I have 236 hours into mine, and outside of a few annoyances now and then, its been pretty solid for me too.

Think yourself lucky... I back out of multiplayer and its 90-95% a crash. On my 5700X setup and my AMDWeapon. Yes I named it that lol.

Have you tried different drivers and/or rolled back if on the latest?

We are all using AMD CPUs here but freeagent and myself are not using AMD GPUs.
That's the only difference I can spot here so far, apart from the install / OS maybe just not playing nice for whatever reason.

It's all I can think of with something like constant crashes to desktop apart from a corrupted install or something else w/ OS conflicting.
Perhaps an older driver will fare better, I've had to pull that move with both flavors of GPU for certain games.

It is simply Forza. The crashes are happening the same on console as well as pc.

But I was thinking the same thing..

I was using a 1660 super until yesterday and still had the same crashes. The game is more buggy than any Forza before it and I've played them all.

Ok this is even more odd now, I have a Series X and haven't experienced crashes on that either.
Granted I'm on my PC more than that, but was playing on it just last week for a bunch of hours no problem.

I'll try on it again soon just to see / confirm.

All I have is a big screen, no monitor for me, maybe that is helpful?

I still play at 3840x2160 with all of the settings juiced, using DLAA.

Some tracks are beautiful..

I just followed a tip on the Forza forums (to disconnect and then stand on your head) and spent the last hour trying to get the game to start, but with no luck.
It thinks I’m connected when I’m not etc etc. I’m not prepared to waste any more time on this debacle and have uninstalled the game.
The same thing happened with Forza Horizon 5 on Steam which I also uninstalled, but when I reinstalled it, the game finally ran.
I may do the same with FM 8, but frankly, there are better racing games out there that work right out of the box.

Was able to test on the Xbox a few days ago, played for a few hours and had no crashes or connection errors.

Meanwhile on PC I wound up disabling DLAA again.
It's not as clear w/ image quality, but there aren't incessant visual bugs either (really could not stand image distortion with objects when turning).

I also didn't take any hit in FPS disabling it, where before on older game versions DLAA gave a small bump.

I bought Forza Motorsport back when it first came out and thought it was quite disappointing. The lack of tracks from FM7, lack of Steam Deck support, crummy performance, and the weird handling just made it feel like I had set $70 on fire. I am willing to give it another try right now but I have two questions:

1. What are the optimal graphics settings for playing the game on a 6700 XT at 4K (preferably at 60+ FPS)?
2. The game hasn't really felt right on my Moza R5 wheel; what are your recommended wheel settings?

Can't say exactly for your GPU, but for me setting shadows and windshield reflections to medium are the only things tweaked.
Everything else is fully cranked and I'm usually in the 130-144 range at 1440p w/ a 4070.

FPS stay about the same with DLAA or TAA, guessing it would be same with FSR's AA if used.
The latest update seems to have fixed the majority of the DLAA image distortion issues, no driver changes or anything on my end.
