So since this is one of the "worst" coolers for this model, it's safe to assume the Palit Dual is going to be similar. Since it's the same design just rebranded.
PNY Vetro and Gainward Ghost are a no no compared to the FE.

The Palit Dual has the same PCB as this one, so we can assume that the cooler will also be the same (4 heat pipes, plastic backplate). The PCB is ok - 8 phase VRMs.
This card is already available below MSRP in some countries, so for the price it's good despite the bad cooling.

PNY has 7 phase VRMs, same as the Founders Edition.
Memory on all cards is the same.

The ASUS Dual might be the best MSRP card - metal backplate, 5 heatpipes, higher quality VRMs.

Comparing the MSRP Cards:
ASUS Dual > Palit Dual = Gainward Ghost > PNY = FE

That is YOUR opinion. Some people actually like and WANT smaller cards/coolers. Small form-factor systems and cases are a thing you know..

It's not a matter of opinion, the data doesn't lie. You want a smaller card get the Inno3D or Asus Dual.

But by how much? The differences in temps and noise are small. Yes, I actually read all of the reviews and paid attention to the numbers both here and elsewhere. That data doesn't lie. Of course then there is the subjective aspects. This Gainward card actually LOOKS good and Gainward is a company worth supporting with a purchase. The FE is an ugly-@$$ card as is the ASUS model. I wouldn't use an FE card if the gave it to me for FREE. And the ASUS card, all they did was trade card length for height. Not a good trade-off as it would still cause clearance issues in some cases. So no, the ASUS card isn't any better and is just as ugly. The PNY, Palit, Zotac and Gainward dual fan short cards are ALL superior to the FE and ASUS models for various reasons.

No, it's not small. Decibels are logarithmic, not linear, so you'd certainly be able to tell the difference between a 39.3dbA fan (the Gainward) and a 35.1dbA (the FE) one. The Gainward is literally more than 1.6x as loud as the FE.

For some that would be a small difference. Noise is very subjective. Not everyone cares about some extra fan noise as long as it doesn't sould like a wind-tunnel or jet engine. Also, not all cases resonate noise outside the case the same way. So those differences might be tangible on a scale, but doesn't make them all that meaningful in practice.

For example, I generally ignore the noise sections of reviews because it doesn't matter all that much to me(I have lived in LA and NYC, in those cities, you either get used to noise or you go crazy). I care more about temps.
