Galaxy released a picture of a new GeForce GTX 680 graphics card it's working on, a liquid-cooled model that beats EVGA's GTX 680 HydroCopper at being truly single-slot capable. It does this by using the 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connectors in the same plane, instead of using an 8+6 pin piggy-backed connector that spans across two expansion slots. Also changed here is the stacked DVI connector cluster, it's replaced by two mini-DisplayPort connectors next to a full-size HDMI and a full-size DisplayPort. The card uses a full-coverage water-block, with its coolant ports protruding outwards on top, so enthusiasts will have plumb out tubing for each card in SLI setups, and can't use conventional multi-port fittings, unless of course, Galaxy has a solution for that. More details are awaited.

It seems that galaxy saw the complains about the stacked six pins.
Still waiting for that single slot air cooled 680.

hehe, and where u think that will come?

i think even if someone makes a "single-slot" GTX 680 it will be so hard to get one that it will be almost impossible.

but seeing a full-cover block if i am not mistaking looking fine, but in my eyes it's not a beauty xD

vga with liquid cooling usually just eats 2 slots and its because the tube placed horizontally. so galaxy place the tube vertically

Anyone else notice that this is still taking up two slots?

It looks like the PCI Slot Bracket has no real use on the card, so hopefully it'll either be removed before manufacturing or removable by the user.

Why!?? Very few monitors support DisplayPort, and DVI-D is preferable over HDMI. Another failed attempt at making the "perfect" water-cooled GTX 680.

I'm sure the card will come with HDMI-to-DVI adapter anyway.

I wonder who is making this cooler for them and what size the barb's are and if they'll be replaceable?

+1 Seem's kind of counter intuitive to design/market a single slot card but still use a dual slot bracket

NICE.:rockout: Hard to get meybe . 1 slot card :):):):):respect:
