That decimal FPS limit was and still is needed to get low lag Vsync ON done right on any non Freesync display.

You can sit several FPS under the limit as well, but then you have frametime inconsistency. With a decimal limit just under your refresh rate, you mitigate that by 99%.

Take a look
I have frame rate limit at 144 FPS, and I have no problem. I don't see how a decimal limit is necessary.

My advice... get latest AGESA. Run everything at stock. Remove any and all peripherals you dont need (anything not mouse+kb) and run 144hz refresh with an FPS cap (use RTSS) under that number. Disable any and all non stock features like Freesync and anything in Adrenalin too like Radeon Chill, enhancers of this or that, etc. Test games and report your findings.
I can't really find a place to download AGESA, where can i get it ?

Have you tried all the settings I suggested?
Yep i did, i think it didn't really resolve the issue, but i haven't been able to play enough to really tell.

Yeah I see, sorry I was confusing this thread with another thread about nvidia one...
All good, thx for trying to help tho

The latest BIOS of your motherboard.
Ahh ok haha

Well then, i already reset bios to factory. A thing that i already mentioned was that i feel like the problem has been occuring a lot less since i got the new windows updates and factory reset my bios. This issue still does occur, but a lot less than in the time of opening this thread. Really weird...

Can you make a GPU-Z Screenshot on sensors tab when it occurs?
Also you may try older drivers.

Go to the MSI website and find your motherboard page. There is a downloads or support page. Download the latest BIOS version for your motherboard and follow the steps to install it.

Ok so nothing is fixed i was playing war thunder and it occured again. The fps were at 144 eventhough i could clearly see and feel the game not beeing fluid (feeling and looking like 30-40 fps). It occured like 9 times in 10 minutes and it lasted approx. 5-10 seconds. This is driving me nuts

Can you make a GPU-Z Screenshot on sensors tab when it occurs?

I will try, but that's probably not possible, as this issue lasts for only a few seconds, so taking a screenshot might get pretty much impossible as i have to tab out and then take a screenshot.

I took a screenshot while playing fn, without this issue occuring. Just so you have an insight on it. What i noticed is, that if i uncap my fps and playing fortnite in perfomance mode i get around 400 fps but the gpu fans aren't even spinning. The gpu fans not spinning (not under pressure) was already like that in the beginning now i just wonder, if the lags could come from the gpu throtteling itself as it starts overheating or smt ? I will now keep an eye on the gpu temps and especially on the gpu fans if they start spinning in other games or not.

All I can see is that your GPU is not being fully utilised, which is normal when you're playing a game with low requirements, especially with a capped frame rate. Nothing is wrong in that GPU-Z shot.

Have you tried reinstalling Windows?

In the local network there are 2 smart tvs so you might be able to cast from them, but nothing in this kind is set up. Also there are 3 dekstop computers, 2 laptops etc., but i use dlan as the router is too far away, that was having a lot and i mean a lot of issues lately, but nothing connected to the problem as these problems were already there before the issues like the high fps not feeling smooth.

Not yet as my internet is pretty much shit i want to take this as a last step, as doawnloading all the programs i have now, will take approx. 7 days of constant downloading. While you're not even able to use the computer for other online activity.

I know that feeling, my internet is crap, too. :(

At this point, you've tried pretty much everything else, so I don't see what's left besides reinstalling Windows. You could try making an offline backup of the Steam games that you're currently playing.

Can u go to device manager and under software devices see if the TVs are talking to the machine in the background

If so, see if disabling them makes the choppiness go away

Yeah you're probably right... i installed riva tuner statistic server and try to monitor framtime and the actual as for some reason sometimes the fps shown through steam command or ingame setting differ from the framerate shown by rtss in the graph. I will report my findings as now i can see the frametime and framerate in a graph maybe this can help me get around reinstalling windows and all these programs.

That's the only things in there. Maybe i should disable noise supression as i'm not using it and also deactivated it in the amd settings if i remember correctly.

Ok so i felt and saw these lagspikes or whatever to call it again and looks like it is not connected to the frametime nor the fps... Also i did cap the fps with rtss this time so the problem isn't caused by limiting the fps through the amd driver.

Ok so now the issue with high input latency and fps feeling low eventhough they're shown stable at 144 is back and as bad as it was when i opened this thread. As i live in an apartment building i start to think that this issue might be connected to the electricity ? But if so shouldn't i be able to see this from the fps dropping or the frametimes going up ?
