which is amazing. I see modern motherboards and just wonder why they are so expensive. Yes, PCIe 4.0/5.0, but other than that? Modern motherboards look so empty and simple, no wonder manufacturers are covering them with pieces of plastic for ...aesthetic reasons.

"Ultra Durable" I had back to back motherboards that failed during the three-year warranty period. To me, that does NOT say reliable. I may have considered them again with the 5-year warranty if it was not for the last RMA experience from HELL! It took four months for the RMA on the last one. The first six weeks just to get an RMA started, two weeks between responses. Never again!!!

I presume you mean you would like to see boards with more PCIe slots over M.2 slots, rather than more PCIe lanes?

It's never about just a firm's "business tactics/excellence" but what it is about for the WISE consumer(s ) is, is how RAPID a company addresses, and SOLVE, it's users' concerns (ethnics), like Apple, etc. does waaaAAAaaay much better than most, you know?

Many many years ago, Plextor was the most reliable company in optical drives. And when you had a problem with one of their drives, they where sending you a new one even before you send them back the faulty one.
Then again, their drives where costing much more than the competition, so maybe they where responding so fast, because you had already payed for a second optical drive?

Using Apple as an example, is not really a strong argument. And that's my final reply here.

The only reason I'm using an ASRock motherboard was because everything else was sold out (go figure, one week before Christmas) when I could finally build my socket AM4 system and it's a mostly respectable motherboard.

Yawn. All the big PC hardware manufacturers are as bad as each other, from MSI scalping their own graphics cards to ASRock blacklisting outlets for being honest about their crappy Z490 motherboards to Asus threatening to sue people for giving one of their laptops a bad review. If you're a fanboy of any of these companies then you have brain problems. The only thing that matters is the quality of each individual product. They all produce both fantastic and godawful ones.
