Wow that's even worse 450 + 190 shipping and import fees, then add 13% HST on top of that, and those $$ are probably US so 1.3 exchange rate?? So close to $1000 CAD?
That's at least a 5800X. I didn't see the crazy shipping costs, I guess that's not normal. It's free shipping here, plus $23.23 in deposit for potential import fees.

I guess this is better then, but not cheap.

ahhh sorry I did not even notice it was a 5800x. MRSP is $450 US, so should be about $585 CAD (w/o tax), just shows how constrained it is............or people taking advantage of the situation.

I think it's people taking advantage. I can get a 5800X for C$605 with 5% tax.
A 5600X goes for C$425 if you buy it on its own, but it's C$405 if you buy it with a motherboard.

Page 3 - Board Layout:
"There are three M.2 slots on the Gigabyte Z590 AORUS Master. All three slots feature double-sided full-coverage heatsinks. Note that the top M.2 slot is PCIe 4.0 compliant and will only function when an 11th Gen CPU is installed."

By that you mean it will only function in PCIe 4.0 mode with an 11th gen CPU? It still works in Gen3 mode with a 10th gen CPU right? Just the way it reads, it's as if the slot is just dead to the world unless a rocket-lake CPU is installed.
As others have said, the top M.2 slot is dead with a 10th gen CPU installed.

I was shocked to read that, and I'm surprised more aren't making a fuss, and that the review didn't elaborate.

It's not that way on AM4...

Same for a lot of Z490 boards. Intel 10th gen CPUs simply don't have the interface needed.

AMD CPUs have the PCIe lanes, hence why.

What issue? I haven't had a single problem. Don't make a big deal out of something that isn't affecting most people.
Exactly. Dozens of X570 and B550 boards scattered around the office, all running a slew of USB devices included VR headsets, Wacom Cintiq tablets, webcams, usb headsets and not one single issue on any of the machines. I suspect most of those motherboards are on the supposedly "problematic" firmware, based on when they were bought, too. It's clearly a niche software bug that affected a tiny percentage of people during a relatively short period of time. I don't remember needing to avoid B550 boards unless they had "rev.B" label like I've had to in the past with absolutely faulty Intel chipsets.

Every product has problems but at this point AM4's platform maturity means it's in solid shape.
