Gigabyte's First Black-PCB Motherboards: P67A-UD5 and P67A-UD7

WOOOOOOOO Blue was the only thing I hated about gigabyte.

to me it looks ugly, i like the blk pcb but that to much blk

It's about time gigabyte got rid of there girly motherboard color scheme's, all their previous boards are ugly as sh*t

Great colors! I like it! Now if they would just change there name to ASUS then i would buy one!..lol j/k I like Gigabyte as well! :toast:

I would assume that they will have boards like this for bulldozer but i have no expectation for them to bring out another am3 board in this style

I hope not, the only reason I am concerned with them producing something in an AMD platform is because I can't afford Intel :( ani't that a :slap:

They got a little EVGA-itits eh? Good move.

I just want to know why they keep on insisting to put that heat sink there where the northbridge was? If they moved the southbridge there why?!

Clear up the room like Evga and Asus. Anything less is uncalled for.

Not really a fan of the gold part.

Possibly cooling the NF200 chip(s) :toast:

I was actually thinking these reminded me of ECS Black Series :shadedshu

 I admit i'm in a simmilar situation, i'm still running an asus m3a32-mvp am2 board and im trying to wait for both bulldozer and sandy bridge to be out before i do a major upgrade so luckly for me for anywhere around a year the only thing i want is a new gpu so i can wait to see what gigabyte and the others release in both amd and intel flavours.

I need new pants.

Oh wait, I just remembered that LGA1155's bus won't be overclockable past minute changes. These pants will do just fine.

They look good, although my babyblue has grown in with me. Yes I'd trade my motherboard for P67A-UD3, if someone offered, but skipping the whole 1155. 1154 will come next year anyways.. :p

Hehee, they said the same about 1156 before release, you can't overclock them. And what happened with that? Best quad overclocking platform ever.

1155 has to overclock or it won't sell = manufactures make a way around the limitations. So get the new pants ready

(yes I know most people outside these forums won't overclock and it will be a fine platform for them no matter what happens)

I've got a closet full of 'em. I'd be happy to soil this pair if the platform turns out well for us enthusiasts.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Please don't!

Blue was one of the things I loved about Gigabyte: they weren't following everyone else. Guess I've just lost all faith in Gigabyte now. Guess I am never getting rid of my X58A-UD3R and my 965P-S3.

That's what I was thinking too, but it sounds like the UD5's PCIe config is the same as P55 now (x16 or x8/x8, plus one x4 off the PCH), so on that model its unlikely there is a NF200 or PLX chip under that heatsink.

My guess is that they just used the same sink on both boards for now, but that will change for production. I wouldn't mind the extra fins there though personally.

Sexy but I prefer there blue.

There are a couple of chips covered up with a little piece of fabric or something on these boards. Maybe these are clockgens that will allow for OCing? I sure hope so.

Yellow arrows are covered chips, and the red arrow looks a lot like a clockgen to me.

woot, theres IS some blue on them

you can relaxe now guys

edit, most of the chips have been covered

i liked the blue better. my mobo is black but i like acutal options not just red and black all the time.
