GK104-Based Products Arriving March 23

It's about time, AMD's been selling new hardware for a while now and selling rather well. Hopefully this release helps drive the $$$ down.

Expreview article isnt making any sense with google translation. From what i can gather, it says that March 23 was the date but now it'll be delayed.

Rewarding it trip trip to Beijing today to see GK104 will Wushao media then delay to April, rest assured, publish Well will the delay goods ZOTAC has ready

This is the English of what Expreview quoted. It seems to say that hard launch will be delayed but reviews will come out in April but MaximumTech said that there will not be any paper launch and NVIDIA will release it in April with enough stock.

Dont know what going on. Maybe W1zz can tell us something.

Maybe I should have added that I run all latest greatest games at 1950x1080 everything maxed (excepted Arma2 viewing distance, LOL) on my GTX470. If a more demanding game comes out, I will turn a thing or 2 down, but it has been proven that most modern games do not look ugly with details down (the DX11 hoax, etc.) But I would really love to invest in a new card if something really nice, visual-technologically speaking, came out. But it is not.

As for the "just want to have the max", I owned the fastest production bike of its time some years ago and enjoyed it. Then common sense returned to control my actions :pimp:

What sort of overclock have you got on your 470? My 470 @ 800 core cannot run bf3 @1080p on ultra settings with good frame rates

I have to have 60fps minimum!

My 470 runs at 700 in 3D. I don't know what "@1080p" is. Maybe my 4 core CPU at 4400 Mhz helps...

* I just checked Nvidia control panel and i am at "1950x1080 (@1080p)", still don't know what it is.

It's resolution. Your resolution is 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels in height. THe "p" stands for progressive scan.. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_scan

That's what I was thinking. In the end it doesn't matter if Kepler is faster than the 7970, plenty of people have already bought it and people are still buying it and until Kepler
A: Outpaces the 7970 and
B: Gets releases sooner rather than later
it won't matter if it is faster or not because people want their hardware now and these people are already running 7970s. AMD has their money from 7970s sales and is most likely already working on the 8970, the real question is, will the 8970 out pace Kepler, and can nVidia release a solution to counter it in time before AMD sells a ton of GPUs like what happened with the 7970. Marketing wise, AMD just waltzed over nVidia and until Kepler comes out, will continue to do so.
