This new version has the modern story tweaks, the addition of Daniel Craig, and all of the other reimaginings from the Wii, but Eurocom is aiming for even more, adding in a new set of modes called MI-6 Ops, as well as co-op and full competitive multiplayer
That engine looks pretty good -- we're not exactly talking about Crysis-level fidelity, but it does hit all the checkmarks, including 60 frames per second, and all of the shaders and lighting you'd expect in an HD title.
I only played the one single-player mission, but Activision also showed off one of the MI-6 mission modes. There are four kinds of these extra mission experiences -- Assault, Elimination (where you need to take out one certain target), Stealth, and Wave Defense -- and Steer only showed off a wave defense level, featuring the player defending their choice of a few different points on a map.
And scores from the MI-6 missions will go out to online leaderboards, where players will be able to both see friends' scores, as well as compete against them on the same map with the same modifiers in place.
The PS3 version will also support the Move and Sharpshooter

I've got to agree with brandon on this one. Goldeneye Source is probably the BEST Bond game next to the classic N64 version. It damn near imitates just about everything that made the N64 version sooo good. The graphics aren't too modified, which is fine by me...after all, I don't want it to have SSAO occlusions, volumetric this, multisyncronizationing aliasing...etc. It just wasn't meant to be like that...
It's been a LOOOOOOONG time in the works, since it's been going through beta after beta...right now it's in beta 4 IIRC. Anyone who is a hardcore Goldeneye 64 fan owes it to themselves to at least try Goldeneye Source, you won't be sorry

Only problem with GE Source is freaking open mics. I'm sure theres a way to turn it off, but I was about ready to off myself listening to all the morons playing it. I mean is it really necessary to go "ooo ooo oo NICE TRY" when you are squirming around trying to dodge bullets then kill the person attacking you.

I thought that all source games had the ability to control the mic flow in the options? Whether to turn the receiving mic volume low/all the way down or to just downright mute whichever player you seem to be muteworthy..
