Hello, this has been an ongoing issue for some time. A month ago i looked up on possibilities of why my graphics card kept turning off. I found out it could be temperature and downloaded "TechPowerUp GPU-Z" to monitor. I found out the temp was at about 90 deg C. I got an air compressor and proceeded to blow out the GPU. After re-installing temperatures dropped to 50 deg C. Everything went smoothly for about 2 weeks. The situation started degrading slowly. First it turned off on games like :Rome Total War: Attila" and "ARK: Survival" Then it stopped playing low load games like "League of Legends". Now I can't even watch a video without it turning off and crashing. It keeps stating "NVIDIA DRIVER KERNEL STOPPED WORKING; PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DRIVER IS UP TO DATE" Somewhere along those lines.. I'm hoping It's not regular degredation..Oh and the driver is up to date , I already scanned for updates twice today.

Its that power supply. Get rid of it.

A few months ago i replaced two of the same unit within a month for a client. Both of them turned out to be faulty. Earlier this week we had a member who was complaining about his pc shutting down randomly when gaming.

He was also using the same psu and his life totally changed when he bought a better psu

Anything thats NOT from the CX line up of Corsair PSUs for starters.

You can get a nice XFX 650w Bronze certified PSU that will power your system without a problem. They are a slightly more expensive than the CX but leagues ahead in terms of reliability.

User replaced his faulty CX with a PSU from the corsair RMi line up and he has been happy with it since. The product line in general is too new to say if there will be any serious problems with it down the road, but for the time being everyone seems very happy with theirs as far as ive heard.

I hear bad things about the Corsair CX series all the time here now. Is the CX600w unit okay? It's in my main rig. Maybe I got lucky, but it has yet to fail...

I have no idea. Its made by CWT so its supposed to be pretty decent. However a lot of reviews have given it somewhere within the range of 8/10 which is insane for a PSU that has reliability issues that arent just batch related. I think that corsair might of shipped a good PSU out to reviewers while changing the formula for the ones that actually roll off the production line for the average consumer, deliberately making them more inferior to the ones being reviewed to save costs

I dont know. The power supply I was using in my file server and cruncher was a CX430M and I had zero problems with it.

Powersupply is going bad as was said. Pick any of about a million good powersupplies of the 500+ watt range.

I checked all the capacitors and they seem fine. Could it be... a slot issue?... I wonder if it's that simple....... Nvidia.png

I had a run-in with a possibly dead graphics card in October and November. Never thought that it would be the GPU, but having replaced the board, PSU, RAM and tested with another CPU the problem persisted. Turned out that it was the GPU.

Make sure that your GPU isn't sagging. I recently realised that the R7 265 (GPU of problem) is actually slightly warped from the bad fit between the PCIe x16 slot and slots in the back; it may have been physical damage that caused the boot issues. It could be that long-term PCB warping has damaged your GTX 570, since it's such an old card?

People never think that it could be the GPU, but it's still possible.
