In that case i must apologise for telling you to replace te PSU as it was all a waste of time and money. You can still send the new PSU back though depending where you live... Distance selling regulations and such

Oh I'm not faulting you at all. I'm a grown ass man, if I want to take advice from random people on the internet that's my choice. Not that I'm doubting your advice tthough. The PSU is better off as it is. I thank you for your advice and thank the fact that you took the time to reply. Heart a very happy American stranded in the UK.
