GTX 1180 Confirmed ?

Geez I have to say this thread is a major contributor to global warming with all the hot air being bandied about. I don't give a hoot what it will be called, will the card be any better or worse if it's called an 1180, 2080 or Whoopdedoo 2000 ?. The only take away from today is ya can't have one for a month. And if you order one now, it will cost more and not be as good as one you buy 6 weeks from now.

The next take away will be what the numbers show once they are tested and, after that, what componentry is on the PCBs and who crapped the bed witha stoopid cooling design trying to be the 1st one out the door ? Can EVGA accomplish the dubious 3-peat ?

Until reviews and benchmarks hit we will not know that full current potential of this new gen of cards. Even then the ray-tracing aspects will not reach full potential until dev tools have matured and devs have had time to get to know and understand them, which is years off. So unless this new gen can offer great strides in performance for current and past games, I'm sticking with my 1080.

Yeah I'm hoping to just upgrade the motherboard CPU and memory and cooler and keep everything else the same going with threadripper 3000 Series

I myself won’t be going GTX 2000 since they sadly dropped DVI

Only 1x HDMi Port the rest are DP and the weird USB-C

All my monitors are DVI/D-Sub

Well you could probably get DP to DVI adapters I had to get a DP to VGA adapter since HDMI does not support VGA

Driving up the cost of the investment :banghead:

I'm not trolling. Learn the definition or learn to give ppl the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong in saying it was FE. It's the price for NON REFERENCE

They said they were getting 70+ fps in 4k

And yet you follow up with another worthless claim on performance. Troll confirmed, welcome to my shitlist.

There are plenty of HDMI/DVI adaptors with will fit your needs. Amazon and Ebay are a great place to find them. I'm using one ATM. Works perfectly.

Be nice.
Which drives up the cost of investment
