sooo, i guess it is worth it right?

yes. the 5450 at best is a HTPC card or something you throw into a VDU machine.

thank you very much, only thing i could play is minecraft or maybe csgo with 20fps on 720p

Counterstrike tends to be more CPU bound. So if you have a potato CPU - you will feel it more.

this is an old pc from 10 yrs ago. there were 2gb ram and only the old hdd, it was a boom for me bcs i used some vista laptop which was slow like cr// and before that i didnt have one
p.s the vista laptop was from 2008 i was 8 at the time and never used a pc before so thats how i became interested in pc-s

@zeko updated the title for you. :toast:

1152 shaders and 96 texture units against 80/5 shaders and 8 TMUs - quite a potent upgrade as long as PSU is powerful enough.

To see if you found a good deal i suggest that u provide some additional info, like the price of the card, and if the seller is offering any kind of warranty and/or willing to test the card prior to the purchase. Nowadays the gpu market is doing... bad, so the amount of scams and inflated prices is kinda high. So if you find a deal that is too good to be true - just avoid it. BUT if its a sub-$100 offer and the seller agrees to test the card prior to the transaction, then go for it.

Some other things that i guess should be mentioned: You will probably need a better power supply (not sure, i suggest that you provide the exact model), and Pentium E5700 would be fine for older games (pre 2012-ish), but putting a non-S core 2 Quad or Xeon in that mobo with its basic vrm is a pretty bad idea. Most probably in a couple of months one of the mosfets will go boom and the 12v will go directly into the cpu, killing it. If you really need to run some modern titles on that machine i suggest that you get a quad Q9450S (s for reduced power) or something like that.
