Your two 4850's are a bit better than your 4890, one can only figure out that it'll be close.
Not really. Though I could score almost 24,000 on 3dMark06 with my Xfire HD4850 set up actual 3D "eye candy'' and game play wasn't as smooth as a single HD4890. Also I spent alot of time figuring out my HD4850s before I was able increase my 3dmark06 scores. I'm sure there is a sweet spot for the clocks of the HD4890 that open up bandwidth for high 3dmark06 scores. In general the Hd4890 is greater than HD4850 in Xfire IMO.
