Very Very Bad, yes. (Thankfully, not from experience.) Basically, PCIe and CPU/EPS are 'flipped polarity' of each other.just don't mix up the pin layout or you'll have bad day (hardware wise)
I did have to quadruple-check my re-pin job, when I re-manufactured some old PSU modular cables into more PCIe power.
