msi 890fxa-gd65. Now i tryed old cpu in new mb, no diffrence. Waiting for another unit/kabinett for test the old mb cpu and gpu and psu.

You dont need to put them in a case, laying them on a table, floor etc. (anything non conductive such as wood) works. You can start up the motherboard by shorting the power switch header (using a flat head screwdriver for example)

Now i tried old mb+new gpa+new psu. And the gpu fans didnt start. It could be because of new psu dont have 4pin. That should be connected to mb, but when i tried old psu, fans spined, but no post screen tho.. Confusing.

What about the new psu and old gpu? maybe you got a bad PSU. That psu has the 4 pin CPU / MB connector. Look here

Couldtn get new psu to work with old gpu. Now im gonna try old gpu and old psu with new mb and cpu

Was on phone with a tech guy in the city, he could look at it monday morning.

If you dont feel confident that may be for the best. But seeing the things you have done until now you should be able to figure out where the problem lies on your own. You confirmed that the PSU works (you just didnt connect it properly the first time) now try the new gpu with the old mb old cpu, and new psu.

That did work, it started up. But no post screen

And if you connect the old gpu in the new cpu / motherboard (with properly connecting the psu 4/8 pin CPU connector)?

Did not work either

Is there a way to update bios without post ?

the guy i bougth it from stil claims it worked when he had it.
I also could get my money back.

but I refuse to give up, then old gpu wont work either when i tryed old cpu with the mb. and have tried all thereis, possible the mb+gpu have been broken under shipping dont know.

Pull the mobo out of case and run it with minimum equipment. Its a gpu seating issue. See this too many times

I think what @eidairaman1 means is run the parts outside the case like i told you to earlier with just essentials like CPU, mb, ram, gpu, psu

Updating the bios will not solve your problem since the previous person has used that mb + cpu+ gpu. btw when using the 7870 that you bought how do you connect it to your monitor? Did you buy the new samsung screen or are you still using the old one? Is that VGA only

DVI contact, did not buy screen. Old one yes vga only yes, also tried hdmi /tw

The 7870 has 2 DVI ports, one can work with a DVI to VGA adapter the other one cannot. Did you try both?

EDIT: never mind checked the gigabyte site and this one has only 1

Sorry if I repeat myself but did you also try the new motherboard with your old CPU + old gpu + new psu? Are you sure you are connecting the power supply correctly? both the 4/8 pin cpu connector to the motherboard and the 2x 6 pin connectors to the 7870? Finally did you clear the cmos on the new board?

Definitely try that before taking it to the shop because at least from my experience they tend to overcharge everything
