HIS started shipping two new models of graphics cards based on the AMD Radeon HD 6850 GPU, that use the company's in-house IceQ X design board and cooling solution. The two consist of a base model that sticks to AMD reference clock speeds, and a Turbo model that comes overclocked out of the box. The IceQ X cards use a standard length blue-colored PCB on which sits the IceQ X cooler. The cooler makes use of a slightly large aluminum fin array to which heat is conveyed by 8 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes, which is centrally ventilated by a 92 mm fan. The cooler is covered by a frosty-looking shroud. The base model uses 775/1000 MHz (core/memory actual) clock speeds, and the Turbo model runs at 820/1100 MHz.

Good-looking cooler

Ice Cool baby. Ice Cool...

I like the design of this little one.

smells and tastes like menthol

It doesn't exhaust all the hot air out of the case? :(

It looks like two 8mm and two 6mm heat pipes, it should do a great job of cooling the core.

I think these days unless you are using a case from the 90's venting into the case is not a big problem, i admit i do prefer blower style coolers as it's easier for me to direct my airflow as i don't use a case but i will happily use either kind.

heatspreader shape is almost similar like 5770 old iceq wasn't like this

Finally! I honestly thought HIS had dropped the iceQ.
I have not bought a new (Brand New that is) card since my HD3850 iceQ 3`s
nothing has really drawn my attention enough to buy
(oh sure maybe my i7 rig has dual 9800gx2`s I bought second hand BUT THAT IS IRRELEVANT) .
:DMY NEW CARDS ARE FINALLY HERE!!!:D

the 6850 with this cooling system doesn't get really hot. I have the sapphire 6850 with some smiler cooler ingame temp about 60°C Oc'ed 1,156V/850/1150 ~65°C ;) btw 850 is the core limit need to get ride of this, try ed it via bios flash but didn't worked

I know, but i prefer the ICEQ coolers which actually vent the air out of the case. Just my preference :)

Great looking cooler, terrible color.

This design is so damn cool
Also this is my preferred color

it makes bubbles too ?

On a looks perspective I still prefer the old Ice-Q models which exhaust outside the case, ever since my 9800Pro 128mb Ice-Q they just kept looking better and better...

Girly Colors :wtf::roll:

 i assume they were going for a frosty or ice blue but ended up with turquoise, makes me think more of clear water... so less frosty and more wet

The see through plastic shroud makes it look cheap and fugly!:shadedshu

By far my favorite IceQ cooler from HIS:

That beast even glowed blue under UV. Man I loved that card pencil modded.

I honestly think the new cooler doesn't live up to some of their previous ones.

Love the ice editions.
