I must say I am surprised by the results (i know it's different then the general public) but I was expecting around 50% of PCs hardwired not every two out of three.

The latest TIA standard for balanced twisted-pair cable systems – TIA 568.2-D – was approved for publication during the TR-42.7 meeting on June 12, 2018. It will replace TIA-568-C.2 and is expected to be published in the coming weeks.

Category 8 cabling, which was previously ratified in TIA-568-C.2-1 published in November 2016, has now been integrated into the main 568.2-D standard. Developed to support 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T applications developed by the IEEE, Category 8 has a maximum channel length of 30 meters with 2 connectors and is tested from 1MHz to 2000MHz. This is a big change from Category 6A which supported a 4-connector, 100-meter channel and was tested to only 500MHz.

I don´t trust black magic, and maybe I´m a bit of a 'cable-fetishist'. Not only do I feel forced to plug every ethernet port I can find on any device, I think that every product that uses some kind of wireless connection and relies on that to deliver it´s function can not be looked at as a serious product.
I already hate that I was forced to move away from a wired phone and have trouble with the new thing ever since :(

Media PC that's hooked up to the big screen is wired (AT&T Fiber).

Gaming/browsing PC I use USB adapter. I wanted to hardwired it (run the cable all the way across the house and upstairs) but my speeds are just fast enough with the USB adapter to where it's not really worth the trouble to run the wire (I get single digit ping and about 50-70mbps for both download and upload using the USB adapter).
