Still no stock distributed in the USA for a quick purchase online. I check www.nvidia.com everyday to see if the RTX series has been distributed to no avail. This is the fault of the scalpers who do not need a card for personal use. They simply buy them to sell at profit. Check amazon.com and eBay.com and you'll see the tripled price for every card. Greedy bastages!

Your 1070 Ti is still decent, you don't really need to upgrade it.

It's for a new build. Once I finish the new build this one with the 1070 Ti will become my backup PC. The old backup with a GTX 970 will get sold (the components) on eBay. I never dare to keep just one computer at a time. I am a backupaholic! That fact drives my wife crazy. o_O

good fantasy, this is like me, wanna buy older-gen top iPhone for the price of some SE 2020:D. never possible, lmfao. sellers aren't that stupid.;)

really, have played around with one for a little. even 1660 Super played better, lol. 1080 Ti is still "decent", but no other 10 series.

pretty nice build. my friend still have his 3 or 4 y.o. build with 8700K and 1080Ti, but he has 16 gigs, 32 are better these day, I have it and i love it.

PS why to have "backup"-PC? are you buying used or cheap components? I prefer for example to sell old stuff, but get new stuff and pretty good quality one. only for short time I could buy some cheapo or used components.

Not sure what you are on, but it's still perfectly serviceable card for 60 fps 1080p gaming and it will be fine for 1440p gaming too. I have RX 580 with low TDP and it's fine at 1440p for me, then 1070 Ti is even more fine. You are talking about it as if it was over a decade old e-waste like GTX 280. 1070 Ti is far from that.

When a five year old computer is still running well and you can afford to build a new one, it's wise to keep your last build as a backup. IMHO waiting until your current computer is having a PSU, GPU, CPU or MOBO problem means ordering new parts and even worse - not being able to use my computer online or offline is intolerable. Television/HDTV/Streaming for me is just a couple hours a day and late at night before going to bed. Otherwise I am using my PC 10 to 12 hours a day.

No. I do not buy used components. I buy everything new. I'll be building the latest technology with a 400 or 500 series motherboard.

Not sure if I've commented here before (I looked and didn't see myself anywhere), but at least 50% under MSRP, preferably 75%+!
No one should be paying more than that for Kepler cards. If you're charging more than $3000 for a Titan Z or $700 for a 780 Ti you're crazy.

As long as someone is willing to pay that much, I don't see any reason why seller should try to sell cards at lower prices.

Well in that case, I'm willing to pay +50% more msrp 20% VATincl for a 5nm GPU with 50000M transistors. yeah, give me 3080Ti SLI on a single GPU die, and it will last me for 5 years. Anything older than 1 month, the msrp im willing to pay drops 1% per 10 days.

Majority of you guys just lied about the MSRP nothing more.. Yeah yeah for sure !

How do you arrive at that silly notion?
Considering TPU's picture threads and "System specs" tab, that doesn't look silly at all. I would also say that value for money is also a very foreign concept here as well as silicon shortage.

You probably ignore the fact that the MSRP price is just a sop to show that the graphics card is cheap too. Just to get the positive vibe, but its a lie.

The moment it reaches the shops, even the most popular ones, the prices are inflated.

Those who succeed to get at cheap MSRP price perhaps and I say perhaps are people who work closely with wholesalers.

But most users always pay $ 150-300 more ( 3-5 years ago )

Today ? 800-1000 $ more than MSRP ( excluding scalpers )

OOMST (One ol' man's sad tale...): For the longest, i've been putting down that I'd only pay MSRP, then a week or so ago I thought about it, and put down 10% over! Then after thinking of the month (or more) on NewEgg's Shuffle - I always got the "You weren't selected" email notice - and hanging out on fixitfixitfixit's (or other live stream) drop report - and always here seeing NOTHING with the AMD Store, B&H, BB, Zotac, etc. drops, and only seeing the occasional GPU drops at Walmart (never got ahead of the bots, I suspect) and the many drops on Amazon - usually very high prices and usually 3080s, 3080Tis,3090s RX6800XTs or above when i really wanted 3060s, 3060Tis or 3070s - and the very many at, near or over $1K for AMD 6700s (and here I also got always beat out by the bots, I FINALLY CAVED! (More like I just bent over to pick up the soap I'd dropped on the prison shower floor...and I let AMD have their way with me.) So here is what I did - and my problems are over, assuming It is functional when soon-being delivered. I got aggressive on the Amazon site and purchased an RX 6700 XT, PowerColor Red Devil, for just over $1K. So that's pretty much 25% over MSRP, if I can believe VideoCardz listing this GPU as released in Mar 2021 at $830 initial price. Scalping by Amazon...or by PowerColor I don't know who. Sale was shown as by Amazon, shipped from Amazon...so there's that. And that's what OOM finally did. (1) Caved to AMD (and Amazon). And (2) decided I really hate NVIDIA, would never buy anything else ever, ever again from them, and put the rest of the AIBs in the same lowest level of Dante's Hell with the rest of the miners and scalpers. I 'bought my way' out of this pickle and I am just not happy about it at all! Sorry for the rant. Probably more than a few others like me out here I suspect. Y'all stay safe and healthy and try to be happy in these tough times.
