Assuming you are using Cat 10.12 (not sure which one you are using) I would suggest a complete uninstall.

It can be displayed in CCC. Why it's not available for you only you can tell.

0001-0008? Did you use that mod program to enable MLAA? Post what CCC says for the 2D Driver File Path

Come to think about it, I think I did install the modded version of CCC2 (10.12) because I installed the custom .inf file's and moved them around. So, in another word's, I f'd up and I have to unistall and reinstall again?:twitch::ohwell:

After I install everything over again, in my registery will these folder's appear again?

Yeah, they may appear again. Once you uninstall your drivers and reboot do a registry search and see what shows up.

Cat 10.12 causes awful image tearing with MLAA in BioShock 2. However with Cat 10.10e everything works fine. So i'm back to Cat 10.10e :D There is no way i'm gonna use anything that doesn't have MLAA (bye bye GeForce cards). Nothing beats FSAA in ANY game regardless of the engine used.
Sol Survivor. MLAA smooths it out. The Ball. Unreal 3.0 engine. Works like a charm. BioShock 2. Same. No jaggies. Only thing that i miss is that i didn't have MLAA when i was playing BioShock 1. But we got a driver hack so FSAA could be enabled the usual way. MLAA is better though.

you are correct :D
I think so too:)
I´ve tried some different settings and in those games where is an option for aa , the 10.12 mlaa causes tearing, in those where aa is not then with mlaa no tearing either. well I have only two games without aa and those are gta4 and mass effect 2:p
but still no tearing with mlaa in those games:)

I'm sorry but if you are running a 58xx or 57xx series card there is no reason not to be running 10.10e. These new drivers suck IMO.

If you look at the registry you will see it already set to 31 00 which I believe is enabled. If you add the check box for it in CCC and enable it through CCC the registry value doesn't change. So it's on and working by default. You can set it to 30 00 and disable it but I'm not sure if that will work or not.

Maybe this isn't really news to anyone but I don't see anything about this being pre-6000 series only--just installed the first of my two new 6850s and 10.12 CCC2 and all options such as MLAA are there by default.

well EastCoasthandle if you are right then I have to say my 4870 1gb did alot better job in filtering quality:)
cause when I compared 5850 to 4870 in image quality it felt like for 5850 hqaf was turned off.
with 4870 even very distant objects where pretty and clean:) , actually everything was sharp even games like mahjong and solitaire(My wife plays those kind of games):D.

Athlonite do you mean vsync in ccc or ingame?:)

I have to disagree, I found no difference between the 2 :).

One doesn't look any different then the other from what I've seen. When I upgraded to the 5870 I've never noticed AF degrade. I suggest you look at the CCC settings :D
In any case from what I'm seeing in the registry HighQualityAF is found in the 000X/UMD sub key and it's set to 31 00. Even if you enable it's checkmark box in CCC that value doesn't change when checking or unchecking that box.

but still thanks again for the guide!
not only the image quality went up but the perfomance also :)
metro didnt ran great on max settings, I had to oc to 1000/1200 to get clean gameplay, but now most games I even dont have to go over 900 most of them runs fine on stock:D
thats the kind of perfomance I actually expected to be when I bought the card:)
(no big deal that I got that a year later:D)

works well, the Radeon 5770 Performance x4 MLAA is similar to AAx12 (edge-detect), also affects the FRAPS;), image quality i far better

has anyone tried this on the 4000 series?

Edit: gave it a quick go. I see the MLAA option but when i activate it and start a game, i just hear the menu music and see a black screen. No EQAA option either. I know it was foolish to hope for HD4000 support but was just curios. :)

Yes and that doesn't work, If you can launch the game you will have a black screen (with sounds) most of the time :(

yeah. screws up the range rings for protoss, and the circles around selected units.
I'm not sure about that. I only had this problem when I tried to apply MLAA with the regtweak. After a regclear the problem was solved
