It uses
NVIDIA® CUDA http://www.corel.com/static/product_content/vsp/x6/VSPX6_Matrix_EN.pdf
so you would replace the AMD gpu in my config snap shot with an Nvidia GPU like maybe the 760 or 770
760's run around $229 and the 770 around $329 so yet even cheaper.

You might even want to try just adding a 760 or 770 to your set up and see if cuda make enough of a difference to hold off on a complete upgrade of mobo ,cpu, ram, gpu.

But at the same time there are reports that Cuda doesn't help much, this may be a config issue but thought you should take a look.

I think they are having config issues myself.

I would absolutely try the card and see if its Cuda helps any! bUT THE 8800 WILL NOT COMPARE TO THE PERFOMANCE OF THE 760 0R 770

Definately keep the case! I remember when these systems first came out, HP? I believe was selling a limited number of just the cases, and I wanted one, but it was far more than I could afford back then.

According to quite a bit of research its very hard to get a mother board to fit this case, that supports a i7 pocessor
DRDNA, you mentioned I need the software for the cards, I only have 1 card, not 2. do i still need to install software? Is there a link I can download this Nvidia software

Yes I would remove both of your AMD graphic cards and install the 8800 Nvidia graphic card (of course you will need to install Nvidia's software for the cards) and test to see if it improves your performance. But your 8800 will have no where near the performance that a 760 0r 770 Nvidia gpu would have. Then you will need to config Coral to use Hardware acceleration. Look at the link I sent you http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50119 the config is in the first screen shot.

Also don't double post, use the edit button instead.

Probably is, since it's fairly proprietary.

I guess one big question Newfielander; where are you located? That can have a huge impact on parts prices and availability.

Yes your right stinger608, I live in Newfoundland Canada, computers like I'm looking for is few and far between, I can order all the parts in but not to sure about putting it all together, I did change my motherboard on my blackbird one time,so maybe I can assemble a computer once I had all the parts , I know it would be more expensive but I wish I could buy one with all the things I need and not have to worry about assembling it.

Well look at cyberpowerpc.com they have large configuration options and most of the time I have a hard time beating their prices in parts alone. Many may disagree but I find their builds to be decent.

I guess it is okay, I am not one to ask about Dell Pc's as I don't like any of their stuff and I am a Dell certified Technician.

I did notice that there is no raid0 or raid5 option on that config .

lol.... now I feel silly. I don't care too much for them either. I would say with raid0 or 5 then yeas it should work pretty good compared to your current PC but the build I posted earlier but with a 760 would be better. If you were closer to upstate Ny I would help you. I wouldn't be afraid to try to build your own with the help of TPU you will be fine.

Dat case if you sell it would make the most $$$, may be a little old, but it still looks amazing in my personal opinion.

The cases on those are amazing and worth a bit of money to the right person.

Budget?

also:

this guy updated his. I would do a z77 motherboard and a i7 3770k, otherwise his guidance is accurate, its just a 2011 chipset...
Thanks so much , so there is a way to upgrade my blackbird!!!! Ok Vario, give me a complete list of the things I would have to order and what you would suggest and I will see what the price would be up here in Canada. All I know is I want an i7 or something compared to it,the rest I have no idea.

Thanks for that email, but now that I seen the clip above with regards to upgrading a Blackbird case, than I think thats the way I want to go,I wouldn't need to buy a new power supply,or case, and maybe not even a new video card, would I ?
