Finally! The Hynix Gold P31 SSD is available as a 2 TB version. Built exclusively with Hynix in-house components, the Gold P31 achieves impressive performance results, making it the fastest PCIe 3.0 SSD we ever tested. It's actually even faster than some PCIe 4.0 models, and much more affordable.

If the AUD price is similar to the USD one, then I agree it is great value at that price.

Why is this not available outside the US?

Hynix special.
They're probably still building up a reseller network as this is their first real foray into direct-to-consumer products.

Just out of curiosity, does SLC nand still exist? Anyone use it?

1.8TB is not the same as 2TB... Heck, I can fit 3x my 64GB boot drives in the missing advertised space.
So why the bs??

Well, Intel 3D XPoint, Toshiba XL-Flash and Samsung Z-NAND seems 3D SLC.

3D XPoint's not NAND at all.
First gen of it is however planar, but the second one is now MLC.

You are being sarcastic right? Making fun of all the people on retailer websites complaining that they lost space.
