I bought a used rx 470 8gb...and it has issues

so i flashed it through cmd and its running through dvi,gpu z is showing 8 gb of memory and i guess clocks are at 0 cuz there are no drivers right? device manager is showing the card without the yellow triangle with ! in it.im installing drivers right now so we'll see what happens

i just wanna thank you guys for all the time and effort you put into this,im really grateful, the card is working,clocks look normal,i benched it with rainbow six siege in-game benchmark,ill do aida64 now just to be sure

should i add FIXED to the title?

Try to upload the bios to see if it is already in our database please, if it is then @W1zzard can update the file info

My card is Sapphire Nitro (non +) RX 470_8192 MB_D5_OC, SKU# 11256-17-20, it has Micron memory and memory code is A1652.

A note to anyone reading through this topic because of the same problem, flash through CMD, its the right way to go and its not hard once you get the hang of it.

thing is though the link above says the rom size is only 256KB not the 512KB ?

maybe TPU should go through the ROM files for that card, to confirm they work and don't give display issues ?

I'm no expert I leave that to you guys just making sure they ok, everything I know learned about PC/hardware was from reading sites like this and my own trial and error over the past 25 years (hobbyist)

I know but that doesn't mean the uploaded old bios's have been fixed also? if they have then sorry for the mislead there still 256 KB in size.

You were right, there were still a bunch of 128 KB ones around, I deleted them.

256 KB is normal. 512 KB files are just zeros appended to the actual 256 KB data
