Im having problems with coreavc, it works but I cant get it to use cuda. Im running windows 7 ultimate 64bit, mpc-hc 32bit, coreavc 1.9.5, and a gtx 260. I have my 5850 as my main renderer but my tv running of the gtx 260. I tried the same exact settings on my 9400gt in my other rig and it uses cuda no problem. you think nvidia is cutting out cuda if you have a ati card installed? I got the modded drivers so physx works great.

The new Nvidia drives are blocking some features when an ATI card is detected as the main GPU. I thought it was only related to PhysX, but I am can't say for sure.

Try using the GTX 260 by itself. If it works, that is the problem and you will need to install older Drivers for it to work.....I think 186.09 or earlier will work.

there not blocked in that way, only works when the nvidia card is the primary renderer. Ive i set my tv to primary display, it works fine but with my 5850 as primary its a no go. kinda shitty, maybe something to do with the player but not sure. I wonder if theres a way to make the player only see the gtx and not the 5850?

This goes for all rendering programs, it uses the main adapters drivers and settings. So thus if it's a Nvidia card is set to main. It will and should use the cuda and if is ati stream comp program it will take advantage of ati cards. Example CS4 encoder, if you have the plug-in. But's the same as Nvidia.

*Note for Cuda to work you need drivers 182.05 or higher

there is no way. this is part nvidia, part "just how it works" - these programs tend to check the primary display for its feature set. (or require that all displays share the features)

for example, what would happen if part way through a CUDA accelerated file, you clicked and dragged it onto the main screen? half CUDA on one GPU, half software on the other... shit would go bad.

I hear ya there, I try to start it on my main and drag it over while its playing some time and the sound keeps going but the visuals freeze up.
