Hello, I've been experiencing around 120 to 170 fps on Minecraft. Sometimes it drops even lower.
I already set graphic settings to fast, disabled every single effect and particle. Reduced the chunk things. Nvidia drivers updated
I truly don't know what to do next.
CPU : Amd Ryzen 4800HS with Radeon Graphics
GPU : Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design
Laptop : Asus ROG zephyrus G14
It gets pretty annoying cause it happens in RDR2, you can't even play for 5 minutes. Help me please

Did these problems start after you got the laptop back? maybe the technician didn't do a good job cleaning it.

no unfortunately they started before. I went because my computer got really bad, I used to go from 250fps to 30 in 5 seconds when I played rocketleague then it went right back up.

So he told me, well if the gpu has a problem we cannot do anything. He got the dust out and gave me my pc, it was good like it stuttered but not as much as before.
I just find strange the fact that i have low fps when the gpu cpu and ram are pretty good.

Just to eliminate the basics.. You do have it plugged in to the power brick while gaming, right? Also have you tried setting your power profile to high performance in windows? Also assuming you have the laptop at the very least elevated slightly while gaming to give the fans extra room to breathe?

It is plugged, I always set to high performance. It is in fact slightly elevated.

You could try adding high performance for Red Dead, right click desktop display settings \ Graphics settings, i don't know if they moved the option is Win11.

More details would be nice, RDO is a demanding game.

EDIT: minecraft issue might be some thing i had with hybrid a long time ago were the demand would not be enough and not switch or would switch back and forth be4twean graphic cards, so it could be a display driver issue so maybe try ones from before it started to happen.

Thanks you for replying, I am noob concerning technology so I just know that I have windows 11 pro, but i don't know which update it is.

Thank you, I will try the solution for Red Dead. Which details would you like ?
Also, I rollbacked to a driver from june 2022, but the issue seems to still be there.

PS : I said red dead but ROBLOX is also getting stutters, as well as genshin impact.

250fps to 30fps is a huge drop.
I'd be tempted to disable all startup software, it's possible it's background utilities doing some nonsense in the background.

Well, my pc came with it so i just adjust the fans somethings to performance / turbo

Should I also disable Radeon Software startup and SecurityhealthySystray ?

No, probably not - it's part of the graphics driver the laptop uses when the Geforce isn't active.
SecurityHealthySystray is the just the windows defender tray icon; It's definitely not doing any harm - I treat that as part of the OS and never have any issues with it.
Sort by manufacturer and with the exception of the graphics driver from AMD and the Nvidia driver for the gaming GPU, everything else third party can be disabled - at least temporily for testing.

I'd normally say disable all of the tweaking/overclocking/monitoring software from Asus, it shouldn't be necessary at all - but on a laptop it's probably actually useful for fan control and hotkeys. Temporarily disabling it will let you see if the performance issues go away, at least - and if they solve nothing you can turn them back on again.

Your monitor is 144Hz. Why are you not limiting your framerate to 60-90 fps ? I have a G14 too, but with a GTX1650. And when i play on it i always limit my framerate to 30 or 60fps depending on the type of game.
I also did unerclock my 4800HS using the guide bellow, i have yet to see a real performance hit, but the temperature dropped by about 15-20ºC. Try this, you can easily change it if you want more performance:

Run hwinfo, click at the clock icon to reset the values.
Then play any game for some minutes.
Exit and check if there is throttling due to high temps.

Then you can see the maximum temps for cpu and gpu.

1) check your temps, clocks and gpu/cpu utilization
2) make sure the game is running on your 2060 and not the iGPU. Some games can run into issues when trying to juggle the workloads between iGPU and dGPU, you can look into disabling iGPU to see if that fixes it

I think it’s throttling issue.
Some laptops seem to have "secret-severe-throttling-syndrome", something I would never expect with a decent laptop!

Stutters are also a symptom of a faulty SSD. Common symptoms of a faulty SSD are: Error messages from Windows about a file being corrupted coming out-of-the-blue, and extreme slowness that occurs randomly.
