With a theoretical maximum of 5Gb/s, you get the lightning fast transfer performance you need to finish your tasks fast. With USB 3.0 capable of backwards compatibility, the adapter can be used in older systems that only have USB 2.0. This is the best interface to date with reliable compatibility for many different systems.

I've got a USB 2.0 gadget just like this, wonder what the MSRP of this will be...?

looks good, neat little piece of kit :)

I love that it is portable, you don't see many hdd docks like this. I also like the idea of having a sata and ide port on the same unit. I may just have to pick one up if the price is right!

had a similar one for usb 2.0... the 3.0 version will definitely help when it comes to copying an external drive to an internal drive, or the other way around.

Both kinds of IDE? I'm sold for when I have to try data recovery on a customers old notebook.

nice

Nice but putting the sata drive vertically like that doesnt look stable to me, the 2.5" sata hdd is fine but the 3.5" one may fall off

Any updates???

Then just lay it on it's side.

By the way, has anyone bought this?? I want to buy it, but searching the net, it feels like I am only the 2nd person in the world to buy this. No rating at the Egg or other certain sites.
