@InVasMani don't confuse the poor fellow lol.
Honestly I just never thought to do it. Never use it, never have used them. Wished they made them totally without it that weren't xeon badged or F badged.
But in all honesty I don't really want the driver on the system anyways. If I don't use it why get it? I'm plugged into the dGPU not iGPU.

I used armory crate reluctantly to install the drivers the first round on this machine and when it came to installing nvidia gpu drivers it turned out that armory crate makes a registry edit that fails the nvidia install because the registry edit is blocking the HD Audio driver. Asus knows and hasn't updated armory crate so I had to reinstall win11 and avoid armory crate.

Updated to bios 0801
8000Tweak works with HT ON and cache 49.
Although it shows DRAM:FSB 120:3 in Aida64 I'm used to seeing just "your multiplier":1 and 1:30 in cpu-z.
What kind of impacts could this have? And why isn't it the normal 40:1 like I'm used to?

Some people actually use the iGPU intentionally for video playback the UHD 770 iGPU supports AV1 so it's nicer quality for streaming than the GTX 980's older codec support. The only issue I encountered that's a nuisance is 10-bit color didn't seem to be a option or work for me on iGPU maybe the ARC line of drivers will fix it though I'll have to test that out. My monitor does 10-bit with the GTX980 so I'd expect it should be possible on the iGPU as well.

I think if the 14600K can clock the iGPU as high it makes for a pretty decent all in one CPU with iGPU if you OC the iGPU to like 2050MHz it actually can push 720p to 1080p pretty modestly with good memory at least. For a first time builder you could actually get by with it for a period of time w/o having a downright wretched experience. I wouldn't call it a excellent, but it's not outright horrible either. I have to say reshade injection of FXAA helps a lot by by basically making AA almost free on overall overhead. It's certainly notably lower overhead than full screen AA options and helps a lot for lower tier GPU hardware like a iGPU. I definatly have to add in that LXAA was even better on minimal overhead, but not quite the same quality still pretty alright though all things considered. The overhead is notably though. I'll have to experiement with laying 2 or 3 configurations of LXAA and comparing it against a single configuration of FXAA because it might actually be the better option based on the reduced overhead at least.

Update -- I tried 7600 c36 and kept getting 1 error in testmem5, so I tried 7400 c34 and it's looking pretty good -- it's actually faster in AIDA than 7800 XMP was. Onward and steadily upward with the freshest of bios. Who knew the Gigabyte bios with letters meant it's a freaking beta test, like F5g? I'm unlikely to try one of those again!!!

Once you've got it all dialed in, load the extreme1 profile and let it run for 3-6 hours.

I just ran and passed extreme! At 53 C it got about 2 C higher than any other tests I've done between testmem5, OCCT, and XTU. The default was only to run a little over an hour, how do I change it to go longer? Edit the config file?

I'm actually pretty happy with 7400 C34 with tweaked tREFI/tREFIx9 for now. The speed beats 7800 XMP, it's passing stress tests, and it's gaming stable.... rock on! :rockout:

Just change the line in the extreme1 config file that defines 'Cycles' from the default of 3 to however many (long) you want to run. 9 should give about three hours worth, and so on.

will do.

My Timespy score went up uniformly, too, so I think this is technically a good tip of the fps scales. My system is peaking at ~700 watts at the outlet running this  can't wait for a 14900ks.

I didn't realize you could install multiple gpu drivers? That doesn't conflict anywhere?

intel and nvidia can be both installed, I plan to use my iGPU pretty soon for desktop/encoding/decoding use whilst keeping the dGPU solely for gaming.

I wonder how much DDR5 affects iGPU performance vs DDR4, likewise with timings and memory throughput.

One nice thing with both installed is you can use both. Run a web browser off the iGPU and game on the dGPU or even enough game on the iGPU for like co-op. I think high pixel density portable displays make a lot of sense for iGPU's to leverage the weaker resources better. You can get away with lower resolutions not looking awful by keeping the pixel density high. You can also scale the panel to mimic a smaller display and higher pixel density and keep the render resolution overhead lower than trying to render things at native.

I managed to get 7400MT/s to boot 34/42/42/84/126. So far Mozilla is running it pretty alright, but probably isn't stable right yet. I'm not sure what voltages I wasn't really aiming to run 7400MT/s I just happened to notice my memory kit overclocked more than I had thought with a small BCLK OC when looking into seeing if I could OC the iGPU a bit further that way. I got totally side tracked from that in the process though, but did seem to allow pushing the iGPU more though idk how stable or if more voltage will be needed. The iGPU bandwidth is reporting 236.8GB/s at 7400MT/s just a bit shy of the GTX 980. If I can push kit further to 7600MT/s it could match it.

From what I saw of TeamGroup's timings I can likely loosen up timings a bit for stability to 35-44-44-84 at 7400MT/s or 36-46-46-84 at 7600MT/s. I don't know about the other sub timings though however can probably go off fusseli's timings at least for 7400MT/s. Gonna see if I can push it a bit more with some BCLK.

LOL  I remember gtx980, that was the first "4k" gpu. That's nuts if igpu is already anywhere close to that in any way.

It doesn't perform like a GTX980  The bandwidth of 7600MT/s though would match. Most I managed to push was about 7500MT/s with the aid of some BCLK. It'll bios post with 7466MT/s to post, but 7600MT/s I just didn't have any luck. Overall enjoying the 14700K and DDR5. It's loaded with tuning options many of which I need to dig around and do a bit of research on that might eek out a bit better performance and/or efficiency balancing act.
