Please help med out here Champs!

I have the following card 2070 Super Founders Edition with "10DE-1EC7-10DE-13AA" what BIOS can I flash to have 0 db fans at idle?
I tried the following "EVGA RTX 2070 Super 8 GB BIOS (Black Gaming)" from this link: CLICK

I used this video as guidance: OverclockersClub

These are the CMD comands I used:

C:\>cd/nvflash64
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe -b NVIDIA.rom
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe -protectoff
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe -6 EVGA.RTX2070Super.8192.190621.rom

But I get this long message :
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"WARNING: None of the firmware image compatible PCI Device ID's
match the PCI Device ID of the adapter.
Adapter PCI Device ID: 1EC7
Firmware image PCI Device ID: 1E84
Alternate: 1EAE
WARNING: Firmware image PCI Subsystem ID (3842.3071x
does not match adapter PCI Subsystem ID (10DE.13AA).
WARNING: None of the firmware image compatible Board ID's

Adapter Board ID: 0168
Firmware image Board ID: 016C

NOTE: Exception caught.
Nothing changed!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I need an "A-model" BIOS ?
The card is bought straight from NVIDIA.

I dont think you can...

....and the fans are loud??? Whaa?

Yes they are. It is apparatently a very common problem many agree on for example here " RTX 2070 Super FE fan noise " but you will find several others on Reddit and Google.
That is why I want a 0db Bios for my "10DE-1EC7-10DE-13AA" 2070S FE card.

Please help me out here :)

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I dont find them loud at all. I cant even hear them over my 6 nearly silent yate loons fans. Wow!

Again, I dont believe you can. I've seen people attempt this before but the minimum fan rate is 40%. At best youd need to edit a bios and pray.

Maybe there is a way (outside of buying a card which does it out of the box)... I'll keep looking back here to see.

Edit: that video is a problem with the fan and would need an rma. Mine doesnt make that noise. In fact, FE 2080ti, 2080, 2070, and 2060s didnt...so it seems like a problem. I'd rma before I tried to flash...

Good luck. :)

I just got my 2070S FE back today from NVIDIA RMA in Amsterdam due to loud fan noise the other GPU was sure louder but this one also has terrible sounding fans at idle.

Read this thread from start to finish. @eidairaman1 told another user exactly how to do it.

Trust me I have read this thread several times and I have also done a tremendous amount of research on this matter. My NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition is not the same as OP's.
@yourig has the following: Device Id and Subsystem Id: 10DE 1E84 10DE 139E and mine is 10DE-1EC7-10DE-13AA

NVIDIA has two different versions of their founders boards "Non-A" and an "A-Version". Please watch this video " RTX BIOS Flashing Confusion " since my card is og the A-Variant I need a diffent BIOS.
Thanks in advance!

I have the same GPU (2070 Super FE), downloaded the EVGA bios you mentioned and the patched tool from eidairaman1. But I am stuck there... :(
Bios: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/213495/evga-rtx2070super-8192-190621
NVFLASH patched: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash-with-board-id-mismatch-disabled/

@McFly have you been able to flash a new BIOS to your 2070s FE?

Try these Asus Bios.
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/216469/216469 (you lose the USB-C function)
or

Thanks @Caring1 I'll try this BIOS tomorrow! I have no need for USB-C anyway.
It baffles me that NVIDIA has made this terrible overengineered loud graphics card. I'm never buying a founders cards again.
People want 0db at idle. 1500rpm (41%) is the dumbest decision ever specially when the fan bearings in these cards are so 50/50 on being noisy.
Watched Gamers Nexus tear down of these cards ... they are freaking glued together

Try these Asus Bios.
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/216469/216469 (you lose the USB-C function)
or

I couldn't wait so I tried immediately.. BIOS doesn't work and will not flash to the founders card!

1587769957414.png

------------------------------------------
Step-by-step

I placed the modded version of nvflash64 in its own folder "C:\nvflash64 " folder with the new BIOS.
A Command Prompt is open with aadmin privileges and the following commands are inserted and executed.

C:\Windows\system32>cd/
C:\>dir
C:\>cd/nvflash64
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe (press enter like 10 times)
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe -b Backup.rom
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe --protectoff
C:\nvflash64>nvflash64_patched_5.590.0.exe -6 216469.rom

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks!

Did you try the second link?
Other than those it is a matter of looking for a 2070 with the same clocks and similar ports, and trying them.

There is no solution for 'GPU mismatch' at this moment - except of using SPI programmer.

If noise is your only problem you can try these alternatives:

1. Setup a custom fan curve on MSI Afterburner.
2. Look for a newer version of the BIOS. If there's none, try to contact the manufacturer.
3. Buy aftermarket VGA cooler like Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV Rev 2.

@Caring1 I tried both of them 216469.rom and 216350.rom and both give me the same GPU mismatch error.

This is so frustrating - why it gotta be so difficult to get the FE card to be quiet (0db fan at idle)

Please help me find a compatible BIOS for my:
"10DE-1EC7-10DE-13AA " NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super 8 GB BIOS (Founders Edition) " card
That can fix the constant 41% ≡ 1500 rpm on the fans  0dB fan technology

Thanks @Regeneration I'll try all of them and see.
Do you have an order in which I should test them in? The Palit seems to check all the boxes?

Top to bottom. Asian OEMs tend to stick to basic PCB design.

Great work you did here!

I have tried the top six with no luck. All of them gave me "GPU mismatch"
But the last one "Asus RTX 2070 Super 8 GB BIOS" with the same device ID but different outputs gave me this:

Should I press "Y" and "YES" and see what happends?

I am wondering if Nvidia's FE models are made to have a "zero" idle mode if not why do people then buy the cards if they ain't gonna slap a AIO or custom water on them?

Only if you have the "means" to recover if something goes wrong (old PCI graphics card OR onboard/integrated graphics OR another graphics card and motherboard with two x16 PCIe slots).

Still amazes me that people buy any FE cards at all. You get far more value for money with partner cards as they are usually OC'd and tend to have better power management with better cooling. Oh and of course, fan stop.

I do also regret buying a Founders Card. But please get down from your horse and stop being "amazed" - you would think the company that makes the chip would know how to make a proper GPU - unfortunately not.

- - - Finally found the solution to my "10DE-1EC7-10DE-13AA" - - -

I'm extremely happy to announce that the "Asus RTX 2070 Super 8 GB BIOS" which @Regeneration linked works perfectly and I'm able to set a 0db custom fan curve.
  • I had to disable GPU acceleration in chrome since it drawn completely black as @yourig also mentioned.
  • I will come back here and update you all if anything come up not working.

I am very happy for my new ASUS 2070 Super Strix Board

Ha, I agree completely. But as you said, the reality is that they unfortunately do not and the sooner people understand that, the better off they will be. Whether it's AMD insisting on a blower or Nvidia gluing their shit together to cut costs, people should stay well away from FE cards.

That said I'm extremely happy to announce that the ASUS BIOS works perfectly and I'm able to set a 0db custom fan curve.
I had to disable GPU acceleration in chrome since it otherwise was completely black.
Good to hear you got what you came for.
