the Card you linked Should fit, it wont populate a Full length PCI slot, but if You look @ Your linked card, and look at the image i have linked below , You will see a separation in the PCI slot , that will match up with the notch cut out in the Connector portion of the Card you are looking to buy.

you'll just match up the notch's , and install it toward the Back end of the PC case, as if it had a full length connector.

if it Looks like what is in this pic tho, there are different buses and wont work togather, so you'll need a PCI usb add in card instead

I was under the impression You had another PCI-e slot, until reading all of Your last post. sorry

Thanks for the quick reply, I was quite confident it would physically fit but will it work at its full 3.0 potential?

the USB card would NOT work close to its potential in a PCI slot. , not would it work at all.

You'll need a PCI usb add in card. I didnt realize you had used up ALL of your PCI-e slots, now that i AM, you need a PCI card.
Thanks for the help, may end up buying a new mb, though 1150 boards are getting harder to find

1150 boards?! in Aus maybe is harder, here they are a dime a dozen. PCI IS capable of providing USB3.0 speeds afaik.yes, hence the Link i posted above to PCI/PCIx usb 3.0 add in cards/

Think its cuz im in aus, The main reason I wanted a USB card was for the 3.0 internal port on it and a few on the back, I don't know what speeds PCI can handle in this as it would be powering 5-7 3.0 ports, though if i bought a board it might already have an internal 3.0 connector

I think you would be hard-pressed finding an 1150 board that didn't have USB three

look here?
https://www.mwave.com.au/motherboards/intel-compatible-motherboards?display=list&filteroptions=291=lga1150&filter=291=socket

i searched on this Aus onlnie retailer and found MANY 1150 boards.
