NTT-X, a retailer in Japan is advertising a strange promotion to its moneyed customers - a free Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition GPU with every purchase of an ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB OC Edition graphics card. You would normally expect a couple of extra digital download codes for video games as some sort of bonus incentive, but NTT-X has chosen a non-traditional approach to getting fancy silicon into clients' hands. The shop is selling the high-end ASUS card for just over $2300 (converted from the value in Japanese Yen), and mid-range Intel board will set you back roughly $350 (when sold separately). It seems that PC hardware prices in Japan tend to be higher when compared to USA market trends.

It is not really clear if this particular hardware outlet is experiencing slow sales for top-end RTX GeForce 40 series cards simply because of high asking prices, or it is having difficulty in shifting the Alchemist card due to wavering hardware buyer perception. Super enthusiasts with plenty of cash to spare on cutting edge tech will tend to purchase the best stuff available - perhaps NTT-X are offering their target audience a chance to construct a secondary or tertiary computer. These additional PCs could host the promotional Intel Arc A750 graphics card, with the retailer gaining further sales via customers buying more components for another build, be it for a compact computer or home theater/media center PC.

That's why it is very important to not show US prices only in an international site like TPU. Plus this is nVidia's greedy MSRP 4090 MSRP (around 2200$) in Japan.

Hi,
Yeah this has the stench of newegg's gigabyte exploding psu bundling going on here
Only difference intel gpu probably won't explode but are still lame

at this point ARC is just e-waste? tragic turn of events...

Intel delivered dGPUs too little too late. There are still some people that believe that Intel could do better in the future. I am not one of them though.

@GerKNG this is the type of store for you mate lmao

BOGOYDW “Buy one, get one you don't want”

I feel this is just insulting to Intel, but pretty hilarious non the less

Yea, I would take a 750 for FREE, but not for the freebie price of $500, hahahahahahahahaha :D

To be fair... those both are halo products.

A desparate move to get rid of unsellable stock.

It's not $500, $500 is the difference between the price that privileged Americans and everyone else pays. It'd be good to keep that in mind :D

I don't think it's entirely unsellable, but it's sure an interesting promo. I'd... probably bite. I need another GPU... having just a single one (my 3090) places me in a bit of an insecure position. I don't like to have downtime, and if anything goes wrong with my card that is exactly what I'll have. Sucked enough dealing with all the delays on my 13900KS... which mind you, the importer I purchased it from didn't fulfill my order... and now they're holding on me to refund my money. I ended up purchasing another 13900KS at a local shop (KaBuM! got stock).

what nvidia does to sell their overpriced crap :D

8Gb Intel ~300€
16Gb Intel ~480€
Cheapest 4090 ~1900€

That's in Finland atm. I'll pass. All of them.

All right, I have the deal of the century.

Buy a rtx 4090 and you will get a igpu with it.... In your cpu if it has one. If not, to bad:p

It seems more gpu's are hard to sell. I've seen reports of rtx 4070 aren't do to well either. It seems costumers has finally gotten enough of ngreedia's rediculess pricing.

It also reminds me of when gpu aviability was bad, you got force to get example a crappy psu with a card or other E-waste product a store could not sell else.

same exact price here for the 4090, and that's like bottom of the barrel like the ventus :D

Wow,
it seems a few replies disappeared

Big for him, small for her. I remember this exact wording during a promotion for pillows, some twenty years ago. Apparently it also works for computer parts which kind of makes sense.

true, this is generally how it works for couples on tech items like this. i have a couple online friends with elite rigs and they give their wife their old rig. lol

I can see this being a decent buy for someone trying to get into AV1 encoding alongside gaming.

Japan's graphics cards prices have generally been awful because the imports come through distributors (namely ASK) that add a hefty markup, supposedly to cover warranties and such.
Some links that cover this subject (jp language, you'll need to run through a translator)

It's getting desperate out there with GPU offers, isn't it?
If 4090 card cannot speak for itself with its own price, there is something wrong, no?
Intel's GPU for free? ‍:banghead:
