well darn got it all together and no boot Q-code 0D, finely got it running with two sticks in first two slots last two slots don't work maybe have to reseat CPU any ideas

1. Wasn't 3200 already quite the challenge for most Summit Ridge CPUs? 1800X?

2. 4 sticks single rank will further reduce your max freq compared to 2 dual or single rank sticks. If it even boots or is stable at all. Unless board is T-topology, which I doubt the Hero is, and T still suffers the same max freq penalty.

3. Never have I seen a 4 DIMM board that functions properly with 2 sticks of RAM in adjacent slots.

I’ve got two mismatched kits running at 3333 MHz stable. It almost wants run at 3400 MHz. I think all four are single rank though.

Pretty sure OP has a single rank kit too, probably CJR. But:

yep next to each other only temporary, those four sticks was working good before with that board the are for amd i think it's the cpu cooler got a

I spaced the two kits out over the dual channel bus. The higher clocked 3200 MHz kit is in the second and last slot. The mismatch kit is then in the first and second slot.

the slot 3 and 4 seem to not work at the moment but in a week when I go back over there I'll try reseating the CPU. when I was removing the backplate it was glued on and hard to get off

Officially the first gen Ryzen were specced to only run up to 2666 MHz with all slots filled.

they were working all 4 when I had the board at 3200mhz no problem the only thing different is the CPU cooler what mite be to tight and the video card I have a gtx 1080 and she has a gtx 960

I got 64gb for my self and I gave her my old 32gb ram 4x8gb 3200mhz I do remember that when she was helping me plug things in she plugged in the 4 pin CPU power cable backward when that happened it didn't even turn on I hope it didn't damage the memory controller in the CPU

And hornestly if your buy is crazy, then I must be insane for the memory kit I planned to bay for my else planned ryzen 9 3950X setup, that I had to drop cause of this dam coronavirus.

I watched a few videos on installing the cooler I defiantly have it too tight plus when I was trying to remove the backplate that was glued on I had the CPU in the socket it could be seated wrong anyway I'll reseat the CPU

If the CPU was inserted the wrong way I’d be less concerned with a missing memory channel. You’re going to have a mess of pins bent, and mangled.

somehow it was in backwards but the power supply is an ultra x3 1000w it has built-in protection that prevented it from starting so the CPU is probably fine.

CPU is not in the wrong way I just think it's not fully in its socket because I had a hard time taking off the backplate and the CPU could of losend enough to where some of the pins are not making contact

Take everything out the case, put it on the desk and take apart. Then put everything back in piece by piece, with just one stick of RAM and then try. No need for any drives etc., just check it gets to the bios and there you can check everything.

When it boots, use the same stick of RAM in each of the RAM slots to see if they all work. If they don't there's an issue with the board as you've ruled out the memory and you've re-seated the CPU That's the way I would do it to make sure things work, always best to make sure you can test everything and I know it's a pain in the arse, but taking it out the case also helps you with no issues that you might have inside the case. You don't really need to mount the cooler properly, you can just sit it on top of the CPU with some paste (my 3900X has been like it since the day I put it together as I don't have the mounting brackets for it and I've been too tight to buy them Plus I'm trying to save for water cooling, so as it's my birthday soon, I'm hoping..... But I digress, try that and let us know how you get on

64gb is interesting choice, but are you sure that these 4x16 will run on 3200mhz with this old ryzen cpu? Otherwise you have got a nice ram kit for your current pc...

so funny.. i read the first post of this tbread and thought... he may not get that memory to work on rtzen 1000.... many posts later.... here we are.
