KFA2 Announces the Fastest GTX 1080 Ti - The HOF "8 Pack" Edition

As if some extreme overclockers is going to go back and forth between LN2 and air. What a pain in the arse. Ever thought of that? It would be alot easier to go back and forth to a AIO liquid to Ln2 setup.

The heatsink seems to be attached by only 4 screws so it's coming of about as fast is can also aircoolers are way more convenient to store than AIOs.

As for voltage control. The card will have it available however it will only be accessible through an app that you have to ask Galax/KFA2 to give you(and unless you're an extreme overclocker they probably won't give it to you) other wise Nvidia would never approve the card for release. Other than that Galax managed to solve basically all the Pascal+LN2 weirdness when they did the GTX 1060 HOF LN2.

I suspect that since the controllers were confirmed by Der8auer to be IR parts with I2C you should be able to access them without the special Galax app but you're gonna need to know what you're doing.

As for air/water OC capabilities the card will probably hit the same 2.XGHz ceiling as every GTX 10XX card ever made.

Yes I agree the voltage restrictions are absolutely ridiculous making every card overclock the same with Nvidia basing its reason on "reliability" when we know they just don't want Titan beater cards and also more RMAs from idiots. But this card IS unlockable if you have the right tool and as such is the reason for the 3x8-pin. Also it looks cool imo
Did they say it somewhere? Voltage is one thing... what about power limits???

Im tentative to think they did this as NVIDIA would have their head!!!

The irony is that 8 pack doesn't have the lead or the records.

I've seen ugly before, but that is UGLY!

The price on this card is beyond callousness stupidity...

And there will soon be

" has any one got the Bios for this Card and can i flash it to my ( Pick your card variant ) GTX 1080ti "
followed by
" I flashed my ( Pick your card variant ) GTX 1080ti with this bios and my Card don't work anymore"

Threads incoming soon
Yeah, cross brand flashing is bad mojo. Sucks no one figured out how to get past the encryption so a BIOS editor can be made.
So far, the best you can do is shunt mod.

There isn't a single word in the Universe to describe how gross, vulgar, hideous and obscene this thing really is.

There is
its that you would have to burn out your eyes with a red hot poker and burst your eardrums with wiener cocktail sticks and then cut out your tongue to stop you ever repeating it
If I told you what that word was i would be cruel and heartless So i won't

3 slot ouch, are we back to Fermi era. I still have my ASUS GTX 580 somewhere and those needed 3 slot

There were also triple slot 680s, 780s, 980s, and 1080s. This has been an ongoing thing since Fermi with vendors taking turns.

I guess I am a minority, but I like the card's looks. Somehow it reminds of Asus Matrix GTX285, which is one of my favourite cards.

Looks like any other HOF GPU while and boring.
