Yes, but that's $630 street price compared to $1099 MSRP.

Street price isn't MSRP and this KTC OLED will very likely come down in price by similar margins in due time, it's just too new to the market for that at the moment.

Its MSRP is $300 lower than the Acer so it's going to get deeper discounts once all the impatient early-adopters are served and they begin sitting on shelves taking up precious retail space. I wouldn't be surprised to see these at $500 in the new year....
no point in setting higher MSRPs

they sell on the street for $630, set your MSRP to $650

You're ignoring/missing perhaps the single most important aspect of consumer pricing with that mentality; There's a lot of marketing psychology that makes an $1099 product selling for $630 far more appealing to buyers than a $630 product selling for $630.

People love to think they're getting a deal, and a saving of $469 is better than a saving of $0 to anyone that isn't inclined to do their research - and let's face it, people who do their research are quite clearly a minority of buyers.

As an added bonus, if anyone is actually impatient/gullible enough to pay the full MSRP that's just extra profit. Things are worth exactly what people are willing to pay for them, whether you like it or not...

Can the CPC (convex power control) be turned off on this KTC model? I read it's a problem on the Corsair and LG since it causes edge and corner dimming during productivity use, and can only be turned off with the LG remote and the service settings, but you also have to turn off the auto image retention processes/pixel cleaning.

Maybe my eye site is getting bad but I cannot really see much of a difference between oled and ips.
I recently bought the KTC g27p6 and comparing it to my MSI mag274qrf-qd and the only noticeable differences is my black background on the oled is very black compared to the IPS panel. In game there are little to no differences in color, vibrance or contrast.

Current games I tried this on was Hitman 3, apex legends, fortnite, RDR2. All with HDR on from windows and in game if they have it as well as off from windows. I also calibrated the HDR using windows calibration tool and my screen is brighter but all of this talk about the colors and images looking better seem highly overstated. It could be my settings are off but Ive tried TFT centrals settings followed everything to a T. Any one else experience this when switching to OLED?

Bought this monitor for $569 on amazon recently. And if anyone owns it and wants to update the firmware, tftcentral has a review as well and in it they mention how to update the firmware through their patreon.

Now running 2.01 firmware on my panel.
