Last game you purchased?

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Untitled Goose Game.

Some of the best use of audio in games I've heard in ages!

I've played only one hunter game like about 20 years ago on my uncle's PC but I liked it. Always clean shots on deers etc.

Yeah, report later if you will.
I tried it, but I couldn't figure out if bullet drop and windage were simulated. I got a clean meat saver shot (according to the crosshairs) on a whitetail, but I found it later dead with a bullet though its ear.

I did shoot a turkey with a shotgun though.

Half Life, was recently on "few coin" sale, lol

Was there anything left after that shot?

What the hell do you put in your shotguns in Finland? A good turkey load is #4 to #6 birdshot, 1.5 to 2 oz of shot. Lots of people like 30 inch barrels for the extra sight radius, but there is not much velocity or pattern benefit. Choke dependent on range.

I was a little high, only 3 or 4 pellets hit it, but enough for a kill.

Edit: archery and shotgun (#4 birshot or smaller) are the only methods legal for turkey in Tennessee. Airbows count as archery.

Greedfall, got it on a Steam summer special, am only about 8 hours into it, I keep getting distracted with freebies from EGS

Battlefield 2042

It was either Snowrunner or Cities: Skylines 2. Either way those were the last two I invested in, both of which run in Proton pretty well.

That way how Linux runs Windows games?

Through Steam, yes. Proton is Valve's in-house maintained branch of WINE, DXVK, plus some other tech to play Windows games in Linux. I've been pretty happy with it to be completely honest. Most games I've tried will work just fine. There are only a handful that act funky depending on the state of the system. For example DOTA 2 seems to freak out when I have more than one display connected, but that's definitely an exception as opposed to the rule.

Is that the way how Steam Deck runs games or I am totally wrong?

It's how the Steam Deck runs games native to Windows, same tech except I'm using it on an i7 3930k and a Vega 64. It doesn't use Proton (typically,) for Linux native games, however if someone was so inclined, you could take a Linux native game, choose to use the Windows version, then run it through Proton. A reason for this might be the native game doesn't run well, but Proton runs the Windows version just fine.

Fallout 76. It was $10(?) on Steam a few weeks ago. Very fun with friends.

Still trying to finish the 42 games i bought over the last 10 years

Last game I bought was Payday 2 since it was on sale for $3CAD, haven't it yet though. Previous to that I bought and played L4D2. Currently playing Hollow Knight which a friend got me

Got a good deal on WWE-2K23 and it's the first wrestling game i bought or played since Royal Rumble on my Super Nintendo.

Rather enjoying it at the moment :D

God of War

just had a quick look, graphics are stunning for a 6 years old game. Unfortunately don't have time to play atm, need to go to work.
Hunting game is a new genre for me, so I don't know what to expect I'll just go in open minded.

Shame you didn't it get free on EGS.

Suggestions only based on more than a few hours inside the game.

Tents and High Tech DLC will be appreciated the most. ATV cuts time defogging maps and useful later if you grind.
Maps: Yukon (no weapon packs required after). Avoid New England and Mississippi.
All other: Modern Weapon or Power Pack remove need to level up. Yukon weapon = in game currency + levelling up.
Take LOD setting as high as possible then balance other settings.

FWIW, I ended up quitting after a couple of hours - I was tired of wandering around on a cold trail, after I shot a deer square in the head at short range and it hauled butt across the map.
