Last game you purchased?

DOA2 and FF X-2 for PS2. UK ebay sellers are my go-to when buying older console games. Australia works too as it's a PAL country. :)

"Didn't you just buy FF X-2?" Yeah, it had a scratch so I gave it to a friend and bought another.

I desperately need a GPU upgrade Waiting for the prices to drop and maybe I can snag a deal later this year.
An RTX4060 or an RX7600 are great budget options when buying new, or even the cheaper RX6600. If you're desperate to play new games, they should tide you over until a platform upgrade. Depending on your second hand market, you may find even better options there, for a similar price.

I would not recommend going for anything faster with your current CPU, though. The i5-8400 can still run plenty of games, but it will struggle in modern titles.

Used 3080 if the price is right, great card though 10GB sucks... 4K med is still fine.

Second hand market here is full of scams.

I already have a 3050ti via a laptop that can tide me over but even that doesn't mesh well with this game in particular, it is somewhat playable though.

I had the option of buying a Quadro A5000, last year, for approximately $550 which I passed over. Kinda regret it since it was decent deal in my part of the world.

I'm currently waiting for the 7900 XT to drop to $600 or thereabout. Will upgrade the rest of the setup afterwards (need an ITX board).

I picked up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for my Switch a week ago (Mario Day sale). Yeah, I'm late to the party but it was discounted to $40, down from regular $60 MSRP.

Doom Eternal for PC. Still have 5EUR which I CAN use as leftovers, tho it's a must that I'd spend that. :D

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Went back and forth on trying to find a reasonably priced code for original. Especially at 4K with modern PC hardware the choices made in DE are unfortunate. For a game I wasn't over the top interested in the claims of better physics and playability won out for $3.

With good reason I chose a rainstorm at night with large amounts of objects lit only by a flood light. 100% that background was intended for high quality displays to decide how it should be displayed. Trying not to remind myself every purchase of DE validates these changes.

Remaster in almost all other scenarios can be summed up as needlessly buried in fog to disguise robbing of textures and reflections to a horrendous amount. Cars you can pick out and drive went from subtly shaded metallic paint reflecting the environment into car shaped monotone objects.

I got the DE as a free upgrade, got the original SD as a bundle from a Radeon card back in 2014. Saw that a DE appeared to my Steam library when it was released

(I got a voucher for three games, I selected SD, Tomb Raider and Murdered Soul Suspect, not a bad bundle with a 189EUR R9 280 back then)

Just picked up Quantum Break (The forgotten Remedy game) and Shootas, Blood, n' Teef (couch co-op game to play with the kids).

Think I'll tap out of the Steam Sale at this point, lot of stuff on my wishlist is sticking at higher prices than I like.

Bought QB a half eternity ago, yet still not played it. If you manage to play it first (most likely), tell me how it is like in the What you're playing thread etc.

Split Fiction, PS5 physical copy, game is so nice so far!

The Invincible, based on the novel with the same name written by Stanislav Lem in the 60's.
Hard Sci-Fi, atompunk style, I don't know how I missed it.

Went ahead and picked up Rise of the Ronin.

The optimization is absolute dogshit, but despite that, 17 hours in and I'm actually really enjoying it.

It has some old-school open-world gameplay that reminds me of games like Saint's Row and Just Cause, but then it has interesting and reasonably challenging combat. Definitely more forgiving than something like Nioh, but also not just a "Press X to win" kind of thing.

Plus, I love the 19th-century Japan setting.

Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty. Going to replay the whole game with this new expansion

Red Dead Redemption 2. I haven't played it yet but going to soon.

Bonus game Mafia II (Classic) was a nice unannounced surprise.

I bought Robocop Rogue City on GOG for $15.99 Canadian. I have not played it yet because City Skylines 2 released a UI and it took me away from CP 2077.

MLB 25 The Show. Going to rebuild the Pirates. The right way.

This bad boy, Rip'n Tear \m/, PC Steam

Gran Turismo 6 PS3 from Japan. Looks like it cost 12.29EUR including EU VAT.

CoD3 for PS2. Played it on 360 before so why not for an older console...

You have good taste in games! Both of those are great fun!
You like ME? Damn Lex, I like u even more!
