Latest BIOS for the ASRock B650E Steel Legend is so broken it turns your Board into a B650, breaks a USB Port and flips your RGB Colors permanently.

the B650 does not have 3.10.

I just checked as well since I own the B650 non-e steel legend, and indeed it does not. I almost wonder if they posted the wrong BIOS for your board. Or maybe the B650 non-e simply is not supposed to exist, because it is literally the only AM5 motherboard B650 non-e to have gem 5 pci e AND gen5 nvme slots, which does not line up with AMD's own charts. I made an entire topic about it here earlier this year.

I have had 0 issues with my september 25th BIOS, so i am going to take this as a warning and not upgrade my BIOS moving forward, I have no need to anyway. Sorry you had to be the guinea pig on this, but thank you for sharing your experience.

I do hope you reach out to ASRock customer support and let them know this, they can't change what they don't know.

What ASRock just did is incredible...
The B650E Steel Legend got a new Bios Update (not a Beta or anything... a full release.)

Now the "funny" thing is:
it turns your B650E Board into a B650 Board, turns your third M.2 Slot into a Gen 3 slot, it permanently turned the 10Gb/s USB-C Port into a 5Gb/s Port and it flips Red and Green RGB (permanently as well!)
CMOS Resets do nothing and flashing it back through the bios is impossible since it just says that it did not found a valid file.
i had to use BIOS Flashback and i got it back to 3.08 but the RGB is still flipped and the USB Port is still 5Gb/s (maxing out at ~600MB/s)

HOW did they got this through QC? (if there is any...)
just take a look for yourself...

Forgive me, maybe you tried this, but I didn't see you mention....

Instead of trying to update through bios or windows, why not just roll the bios version back using Flash Back? Takes like a few minutes only.....

Edit:
OK - Did a quick re-read. Flash it again. re-DL the file just in case and try it again.

You sure you didn't install B650 bios by mistake? They are right next to each other on the website and you have something blurred out in your screenshot of downloads.
i have the B650E bookmarked and i can not accidentally download 3.10 for the B650 Board since it does not exist in the first place.

and the blurred out files are two DHL shipping labels with the names of the people recieving them.

Not sure why for some reason ASRock has a big ass warning screen to remind the user to disable TPM when upgrading the UEFI/BIOS. It will re-enabled after the upgrade is complete.
Same msg on my MSI B650 Edge WiFi board when upgrading bios.
....

I don't understand. Can you illustrate this issue for us?
Ok, here you go...

my steel legend non-e b650 just got the 3.10 bios update, I haven't done it yet as I am not home at the moment.

I don't think I will install it though, I will wait for a few more BIOS updates before I am brave enough. lol
