Thanks Gabriel, i was sure it was QLC from the beginning already. But anyway it will do the job as other's out there. Just with a lower lifespan.

I still use an old P3 here of 2TB and i don't have anything to complain. It does what it should do. It sits in a Mini computer with a AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU. Boots up in seconds.
It uses HMB instead of Dram but nowadays those Dram-less SSD's are not so bad. I also have a Samsung 980 without Dram and i can say that this is fast and powerful.
No problem, interesting seeing that drive though :D

I thought Micron was forbidding that practice... Weird.

What's with the aggression? :wtf: Seriously man.
i`m not aware of that tbh.
A bunch of brands make that, adata for example, like 99% of adata flash is labeled ADATA 6007**** which can be Micron or YMTC or whatever else they use.

I would like to know about the Lexar NQ790, I can't find anything relevant about it. I know it uses the Map1602 as the controller and Longsys... The Lexar NM790 has this same controller and is TLC. Could the NQ790 also be TLC or is it QLC? If anyone could provide information, I would be grateful.

The only image I got of the NQ790 is from a purchase review.

It's micron QLC.
Surprisingly the post cache write speed wasn't off TLC model when pushed (usually a problem with qlc models)
And response time for usual workloads look on par as well

Do you think I'm in big trouble because it's QLC? I will only use it for games and programs, the system is on a 990 Pro... It was at a great price, so I bought it.

Is there any link to reviews/tests of the NQ790?

I doubt it. The NQ710 felt alright on the system I was building
NQ790 uses better flash so will be perfectly fine

In fact NM620 uses Micron Nand. Still being sold with nm620. I know because I sell lexar drives and have checked their packages

Not always (or anymore). I recently bought 2TB version (LNM620X002T-RNNNG) and it has YMTC 3dv3-128L(x2-9060) TLC. Nand's marked Longsys RH14TAA1842515G H233007223364T.

In that case yes it's been moved to YMTC but that's actually a upgrade over the old nand

It depends. Compared with older NM620 Inogrit IG5216+ B27B 96L Micron nand - yes. Compared with those that had Maxio MAP1202 + B47R 176L Micron nand - not so much.
