LG Electronics (LG) extends its glasses-free 3D monitor lineup with the 25-inch DX2500, which incorporates glasses-free parallax barrier 3D and head-tracking technologies. With the DX2500, LG becomes the first in the industry to receive TÜV Rheinland certification for a glasses-free 3D monitor.

"LG is taking glasses-free 3D monitors mainstream with the DX2500," said Si-hwan Park, Vice President of the Monitor Division at LG's Home Entertainment Company. "With the DX2500, we are making the LG brand synonymous with glasses-free 3D monitors. In 2012, we'll continue to expand our range of glasses-free 3D monitors featuring different designs and advanced functions."

For optimal viewing of 3D images, existing glasses-free 3D products generally require viewers to stay within a tightly restricted angle and distance. However, the DX2500 has removed this restriction with the parallax barrier 3D and head-tracking technologies, allowing viewers greater freedom of movement, enabling a more comfortable user experience.

Position tracking in the DX2500 works via a camera embedded in the monitor, which detects changes in the user's eye and head position in real-time. Based on this information, the monitor calculates the angle and position of the viewer and adjusts the image to display the optimal 3D effect. And with an advanced 2D to 3D conversion function, DX2500 users can view unlimited 3D content such as movies, photos and games all with a single mouse click.

Now available in Korea, the DX2500 will be launched worldwide in early 2012.

Is that lady trying to force-choke us?

edit: I assume the head-tracking means this wouldn't be suitable for more than one person to view simultaneously.

Very bad marketing/PR photo.

And look at the number of extractor vents in that room! Obviously a lot of farting and bad smells going on in that meeting room! Ewww

It's one of Darth Vader's illegitimate children...

I wonder how long it would take to get a headache looking at one of those things...

The monitor? Or what is shown inbetween? I have definitely got a headache and will try a different babe-booth! :pimp:

idk, my throat feels a little constricted, but my head is still fine.

Probably be like nintendo 3ds where it would "shift" everytime you change viewing angle.

Finally a 3D monitor that interests me, they have all been too small, and glasses free is nice. Wonder what the crazy price will be though.

now this is what I thought 2012 would be like as a kid. Glasses free 3D.

What a perfect market for this head tracking? Computer monitors! People sit in front of them and tend to be alone. It's a perfect place for the technology to evolve.

Also, this will change the pc-masturbatorial game BIG TIME.

Impossible. There were no Asian people in Star Wars.

Now I want to watch all 6 movies to see if you are right. Thanks a lot...

Enough of this 3D fad, all I care about in a tv is price, screen size, and thickness . . in that order not crappy sudo 3d tech that just gives me a terrible headache and cost way too much money!

I think there actually was at least one minor character or even just an extra or two in the prequel trilogy, but I'm not 100% certain.

edit: Kamay Lau as "Sei Taria, senator's aide" in Episode I
And I'm sure there were others.

edit: Phoebe Yiamkiati as Mari Amithest, a young Jedi in Episode II. Can't find a source for nationality, but she looks Asian to me.

edit: Kee Chan as Malé-Dee in Episode III

Bai Ling as Senator Bana Breemu in Episode III

Masa Yamaguchi in Episode III - can't find source for nationality, but just look on google images

this is a news thread not a babe research thread.

... but will they work for someone with a lazy eye? getting the 3d effect is hit or miss for me due to my lazy eye. (the 3DS doesn't work for me)

Interesting question. Based on my limited knowledge (pretty much none), I would guess that it would not work.
