LG introduced what it claims to be the slimmest PC monitor in the world, which is just 7.2 mm thick. The E2290V from LG is a 21.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) monitor that is able achieve its low thickness thanks to LED backlit. Panel specifications include 2 ms response time, dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1, and brightness of 250 cd/m². Display inputs include DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. It is priced at €329.

Omg

Wow, it's so thin, I guess this monitor will be a good setup in eyefinity and mosaic... It can save some space behind in it...

Ya, nice small bezel too.

Wow, that is real purdy.

It's not clear from the pics, but do the cables plug into the base? Cause that would be oh-so clean.

Good. If it has semi-glossy apperture and S-PVA or IPS display it is perfect! :)

Very futuristic.

Indeed, gloss bugs the crap out of me even semi on larger units.

Would of liked it more if it was thicker with less bezel lol.. Pointless to me it being that thin And i wounder how much quality has gone though the window due to it.

It looks great, but thinner bezel and quality of display is more useful than such a thin screen, esp. for multiscreen setups. After all, the base is wide, and wider still once all the plugs and cables are connected. And I spend my time looking from the front, so the width adds no value except cosmetic value to a third party, not to the user.

My laptop is even thinner :p but there are viewing angle issues. I wonder how this one performs?

Yeah the only real use I can see for such a thin screen is if you could hang it on the wall, but since the input is on the base I think it's worthless. I also wonder what sacrifices did they had to take to make it so thin, if there's any.

I guess some people would sacrifice anything for the aesthetics...

Very very cool. It looks awesome! :rockout:

Way over priced!:shadedshu

So new, so thin, so awesome, and they will still ship it with a single VGA cable.

Wow nice, Go LG keep em coming!

Unfortunately being ultra thin reflects in the image quality of each and every such LCD manufactured and reviewed so far. And I wouldn't dream of an ultra thin IPS or VA any time in the near future. There's a reason why those monitors are thick, the back lighting needs to be more complex, google it.
