HPTX cases are usually so tall that they do not fit under a normal desk. Lian Li - the company who first offered such a chassis - has managed to shrink things down to mid tower size while still offering HPTX compatibility and the ability to install up to 12 hard drives. We rip the case apart to see how everything is suppose to fit in such cramped spaces.

What a case. Looks good, feels good, tastes good.

eh, Lian Li usually has some kinda cool stuff, this is just way too plain. It seems like the clear eyes guy would have it.

Love the case. Glad to see Lian Li being innovative with this mid-tower. Being able to stuff such powerful hardware into a relatively small size makes me light up since it reminds me of my A05N. I especially love what they did with the top panel of the case and the power & reset buttons. By extending the top panel downwards the side panel doesn't become too unwieldy and the smoked plastic used for the LEDs definitely makes them not as blinding as they typically would be in a dark room. Not to mention the narrow bar looks much better than a circular button! The only downside I feel is that it'll definitely take some creativity to clean up the cables for the hard drives in such a way that also makes them easily removable.

Well I mean...Lian Li isn't exactly known for outlandish designs, aside from their quirky anniversary cases, so I'm not quite sure what you were expecting.

what does HPTX refer to?

yep nice case as usual

Would be nice to see what it looks like with the HDD plate filled up.

Just something that doesn't look like I could get it off newegg for $20. Like the fractal design r3 is a plain case, but it's a classy plain that is impressive. Like Jon Hamm in season 1 of Mad men. That case is kinda like Sarah jessica parker...

Stupid not to put hard drives behind the mobo. Just make a wider case geez
