Logitech unveiled the latest addition to its acclaimed G-Series gaming products, the Logitech Gaming Mouse G300. Designed to give PC gamers an advantage over the competition, the mouse features nine programmable controls, letting you move keyboard commands to buttons that are in easy reach.

Additionally, the Logitech Gaming Mouse G300 lets you store up to three game or player profiles in the mouse's onboard memory, so you can run the mouse without software or even move it between computers without having to reconfigure each time. User-configurable lighting assigns one of seven colors to each profile, so you can easily see which profile you're using. Plus, the mouse's sculpted, ambidextrous shape is equally comfortable in either hand.

"The Logitech Gaming Mouse G300 is perfect for PC gamers who want intelligent features that give them real benefits in-game" said Chris Pate, senior manager of product marketing for gaming at Logitech. "Whether you need more programmable buttons for your MMO, better precision for targeting enemies in an FPS, or a compact, comfortable shape to get you through hours of gameplay, we've got it covered."

The Logitech Gaming Mouse G300's gaming-grade 2500-DPI optical sensor tracks slow or fast movements on a wide variety of surfaces, so you get exactly the action you want from every incremental hand movement. In addition, optional drag-and-drop software makes it easy to set the Logitech Gaming Mouse G300 up exactly the way you want. The software also works with G-Series keyboards and headsets, so you can create macros once and share them between your G-Series family of devices.

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech Gaming Mouse G300 is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe in September, for a suggested retail price of $39.99. For more information, visit the product page.

I don't use macros, but I like to have a whole host of buttons ready for melee, grenade, switch fire mode, etc.
I mainly play games using the keyboard for movement and actions, and using the mouse for weapons and attacks (plus looking/aiming obviously).

Bout time they made a new mouse instead of recycling the old ones over and over.
As for the buttons i prefer the 2 on the left side for your thumb for vent/ingame voice other than that i use the keyboard.

Cool, wish it had 2 more buttons on either side lol. God forbid my current mouse fails but i like this one if they added those 4 extra buttons hehe.

EDIT: i need more buttons on the mouse as i use all the keys around the arrow keys believe it or not including all the numpad.

For example, Complex is yet another reason i love the game as i am sick of these simple ass games.

\ night vision
Shift run\walk toggle ( i have to use toggle as i kill the shift key else lol )
CTRL lean left
Num 0 Lean right
Num 1 prone
Num 4 kneel
Num 7 stand
Num 2\5 zoom
Num 3\6 zeroing
Num 8 TIR center
Num 9 TIR disabled
Num - compass\ double tap GPS
Num / manual fire on\off
INS switch weapon while flying
Home Map on\off
end\enter select ( all so on mouse wheel middle button lol )

I can't tell if those big chunky buttons would look really classy or really cheap in real life, but otherwise it looks lovely.

I was remembering yesterday how I used to have jump and crouch on my right and middle click back in CS 1.3, which this mouse would accommodate easily (among other things).

Meh, I'll stick with my G500, which can be had on sale for not much more than this mouse.

Cool, I can finally put my ring finger to use with the addition of those buttons on the right. It seems like a good deal, considering the relatively low price.

Thing looks ok. I would've liked the 2 buttons on the left to be accessible with the thumb vs. the index finger. If this mouse is for smaller handed people like the G3 was, then I might take a looksie.

Im not voting, thats a pretty cool idea but TBH that leaves room for error with accidently pushing the incorrect command

Ambidextrous mouse goes both ways like Lady Gaga. I like it.

Extra buttons are good, but they are often not in the right spots or i don't like them where they are.
I have the good old Logitech G3 but i never use the wheel click. I just don't like it. I also never use weapons on the wheel. And the right side button is somehow out of my fingers reach so i also never use it. But would like extra 2 buttons on the left side. Still i offload most of commands around the arrow keys which i prefer to use. Though in some games that use loads of commands, i hit a limit and i usually don't play those games well unless they are slow paced like Deus Ex and TES series. Or i just skip commands that i never use (like lean left/right).

I have to say this mouse looks pretty cool! however I still prefer the up and down thumb buttons on the left hand side of my mouse. as i bind one for melee and the other for specialist skills such as taking out shock paddles while playing Medic in BC2

Looks like it came from McLaren F1's design studio. I like it:D

Well the way it looks at least.

call me a noob. but IMO theres room to stick some red LEDs what might jazz up the look even more. Similar to what Roccat do with their mouses.

I love the G5's two thumb buttons on the left side, I use them constantly while web browsing for going forwards and backwards through pages, and a bit in gaming where relevant.

+1 the old ball mouse on my net rig doesn't have them, and I really miss them. On my gaming rig, I'm using an old Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer with 2 side buttons and the middle-click (on the scroll wheel).

Middle-click + 2 side buttons is optimal IMO. Any more than that's for pro's :p

Why did they have to move the sensor off center again? They had it right with the G700 and now it seems they have reverted back to Revolution style placing. Ok for a non gaming mouse but makes no sense on a gaming mouse.

You never Cease to amaze me man. LOL!!!

I Prefer the MX510 I have, Thinking of the G500 Though w/e that newer one is.

I'd rather have a comfort prioritized right handed mouse (pinky support!) I'm left handed and like most lefties we're pretty much ambidextrous because of crap always being designed by righties. I can't recall ever seeing anyone use a mouse on the left side actually. Not that it matters. I'd never go back to a logitech mouse anyways.

why not send in letters n so forth to em, make left hand edition mice. I Mean AR15s are being made that way too

I like this design, this might be my new mouse... Wish the side buttons were a little more like the Rapoo V3 or V8 though

To who? About what? huh? I said I'd prefer a proper right handed mouse, not a lefty mouse. Most lefties feel the same way after this many years of right hand usage.
