This is obviously coming up cus of the NXE. What with it needing 128mb to install and all. You can also get a free memory stick if eligible for the same reason, will see if i can find the link.

The Kit will be available for 79€ in Europe. The date used to be Nov. 21 2008 for the release. It is also listed on Amazon and the likes.

cheers

Wow a cheap way to upgrade my 20gb HDD which seems to be full of demos ...

Here you go:
http://www.xboxstorageupgrade.com

According to Hexus.net:

Owners of the Arcade models, which come without hard drives, will be offered a 20GB HD and three months of Xbox Live for $29.99 - a saving of approximately $50. Core owners will be offered a free 512 MB memory card or a refurbished $19.99 20GB hard drive

So basically if your eligible you can get this kit for a knock down price. (might be worth adding it into the news post malware ;) )

Well I should mention, that I am the Teamlead for MS XBox 360 Promotions here in Austria.

The above DOES NOT work for Arcade Consoles!! If MS knows if you ever used a HDD on the console or not, I do not know. But my Arcade DID NOT allow me to get the upgrade deal!

The Arcade comes with a 256MB memory card. This is SUFFICIENT for NXE. Sure you will have some serious traffic over the inet, but it is sufficient.

That information comes from the Xbox Live! PM at MS Austria. I am trying to get clarification as I am writing this.

EDIT: Just got confirmation: MS checks if a HDD has been used with the console within the last 12 months. If yes = no upgrade!

cheers
