I see a lot of marketing bullshit.

We know the 5090 FE and possibly a bunch of AIB's have design flaws.

No amount of cable quality can solve this.

Name those "design flaws" you know about.

I think Jay is on to something. Clumsy and loose jack fittings are likely contributing to a degree in this round of cards and perhaps even in the previous gen cards.

Exactly. This problem seems to have escaped detection because the connectors are inside the plastic connector housing and pin sheaths. Could explain a lot.

This solution from MODDIY might be part of the solution. However, the overall problems with this connector once again seem to point to it being a flawed design. I still would prefer returning to the standard PCIe 8pin connector and simply having 3 of them.

Two of these stacked GTX 680 connectors side by side, done!

Insertion isn't the only problem with this power connector design

What else are you thinking? It clearly proves that the 12v-2x6 cable plugs do the job, just like EPS CPU plugs do. Even when mistreated.

My guess is there was one cheap model of 12VHPWR female pins from one plug manufacturer that was flawed, but nobody wants to say so.
