Mouse peed on GPU and now corrosion is visible

If there is hantavirus in the area, which was the case for me (on the Navajo Nation)
I saw an interesting documentary on how they determined how the tribal deaths were hantavirus -- the eureka moment was when they found a similarity to a similarly fatal disease (also spread by rodent feces) caught by US GI's during the Korean War.

Thank y'all. Finally I've cleaned the GPU as many of you suggested to do it very carefully and gently. And the operation was successful and the GPU is running well enough.

So my next question is, Is it okay to cover the back of the GPU with something like cardboard/paper? Or it can conduct electricity and damage the components? (The moisture ness in my country/city isn't very high either.)

Thanks again everyone

Hey folks! So the cardboard as a cover in GPU back(upper surface when installed in motherboard) is harmless for the small components right? since it's not conducive?

Wait, what? I'm sorry but I have to laugh at this.

Hope nothing is wrong!

Non conductive but will also act as an insulator and the card will run warmer as a result.

Not worth it.

Give the mice something more interesting to approach, like a trap near the pc.

Also note that if you see 1 mouse, there's no less than half a dozen behind him.

Get a cat.

cardboard become conductive when wet/damp, leave as is and as others have said get a cat or trap.

I would say no to any potentially easily burnable materials

Best thing is just to rid the house of mice and clean up whatever droppings you find.

Get some of these and put a small dab of peanut butter on each. Mice can't resist peanut butter.

You haven't seen these supermice yet?

Please let us know what happens to the mouse. Instead of humanely killing it, you could adopt it. Maybe it'll even have a Lan party with you since it likes PC gaming so much.

Hire this guy for all your extermination needs...

A bit late but - First - close your PC case for anything but air and dust particles and even the latter are unwanted, then wash the card with distilled water, soak it for a while to dissolve all the urea and salts out of it. Then comes the 2-propanol to take out all the water, then leave it on the balcony for a good 2 weeks to dry or you can use hair dryer if you're in a hurry and it'll be better.
I'm not saying good because the fact you got mice in your PC case tells something about you and now it's try and save what you can (don't know how much time the card was soaked in urin, probably till it evaporated and then some).

Um, they've already cleaned the card and put it back in their system.. You're a bit late...

Whatever goes on there must not conduct electricity or absorb liquids, and needs to conduct heat
You don't really need a backplate, but you could fill the space with something else

This is a terrible amazon example, but it would take the space up to prevent mice getting in there (I can't believe that's a real problem we need to fix) and provide airflow

Caught two of the little bastards and threw them out very far away. And warned them that I don't want to see them near my house in future or I won't be showing mercy next time.
