Msi 5090 DOA?

I’m going to assume you‘re on the latest drivers available that actually have support for the 5 series? GPU-Z can only show info if it has a valid device ID to work with. I’m just reaching at this point for possible reasons it’s basically not being recognized and possible reasons why. The Code 43 could also be explained if this is the case.
Yes as far as I know, I tried the only 2 Nvidia drivers for the 5090 on their page and multiple mobo bios along with pcie gen switching and few other bios options but nothing changed.

Well I think you’ve pretty much done everything to be done on the troubleshooting end with no luck so I would be putting in an RMA request as much as that sucks. If you can’t get past Code 43 it’s pretty much the end of the line.

Rma has confirmed card was bad. I’ll be getting a new one, though I have no eta on that.

Keep us updated glad they seem to be taking care of you. Hopefully the replacement is from a better batch.

I hope you can get it soon dude. I still haven't received my order either. I've emailed the store to inquire but my question was clearly above the pay grade of the poor support agent that answered my question and I've already asked to escalate... ugh.

That sucks that your money is now in limbo...

Did you buy from a scalper?

Did you buy from a scalper?

Unless the scalper was the retailer itself then no. MSI won't authorize the RMA unless you purchased the card from one of their retail partners.
