MSI, the world's leading manufacturer for true gaming hardware, is proudly expanding the hardware possibilities for all gamers. This time, we are honored to introduce our latest HMI Gaming Monitor: Optix MEG381CQR Plus. HMI stands for Human-Machine Interface is a whole new concept.

Besides the unique design, the spec is extreme high, too. Equipped with a 2300R IPS panel, Experience extremely smooth and tear-free gameplay with built-in NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate technology, UWQHD+ resolution, 175 Hz high refresh rate, 1 ms fast response time and VESA DisplayHDR 600. Optix MEG381CQR Plus will give you all the competitive advantages you need. Always improving, MSI will keep on challenging itself in the design of gaming monitors, and ensure that you are always ahead of your opponents.

2300R Curved Gaming
The curved display panel of the MSI gaming monitor has a curvature rate of 1000R, which is the most comfortable and suitable curvature for human eyes for general computing to gaming. Curved panels also help with gameplay immersion, making gamers connected better to their games.

UWQHD+ (3840 x 1600) High Resolution
Optix MEG381CQR Plus features a WQHD panel that supports resolution up to 3840 x 1600 capturing every detail in the game and turning every frame a visual feast. This 21:9 panel also allows gamers to examine bigger game scenes compared to other traditional FHD panels and put them ahead of other competitors.

GameSense + Mystic light
With Steelseries GameSense, RGB LED will not just be a fancy decoration, it helps your gameplay as well. By synching with your in-game activities, it can display vital details of your game through the LED effects. That way you'll get a full grip on your game and your most important stats in a blink of an eye.

VESA Certified DisplayHDR 600
The Optix MEG 381CQR PLUS is equipped with HDR technology that can produce images with more details, wider range of colors, and look more similar to what is seen by the human eye when compared to traditional monitor.

User Experience - Camera Cradle and Mouse Bungee
Included is a camera cradle that can slide across the top of the monitor, allowing the addition of higher end cameras with tripod mounts to be attached increasing overall stream quality. Also included is a mouse bungee that attaches to the bottom of the monitor to help reduce friction from the mouse cable and reducing clutter from your desk.

175 Hz Refresh Rate and 1 ms Response Time
Optix MEG381CQR Plus is equipped with a 175 Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time panel. It will undoubtedly be beneficial to professional gamers, especially those playing fast-moving games. Games will no longer look quirky since our monitor will be able to keep up with any FPS your graphics card produces.

Oh YAY a mouse bungee!!!!!

Hopefully it won't have a callous price.

I know it's just a press release being passed on, but for anyone else wondering, this is the same monitor they announced back in the beginning of June:

https://www.msi.com/blog/msi-product-launch-2021-next-gen-gaming-monitors

Strange that they'd send out a new press release, but I suppose it may be more of an availability announcement since it had yet to show up in storefronts.

It's essentially the same kind of panel found in the LG and Alienware 38" UWs, with a bit higher refresh rate and a curious little interface rotary knob on the bottom left, which was actually kind of a cool idea. If they price it well, it'd make a good alternative to the other competing monitors.

One last little thing I always find amusing is that this display, and the aforementioned LG/Alienware models, is actually a 24:10 and not 21:9 panel, despite MSI listing it as the latter in all of their specification sheets. 3840/24 = 160 :: 1600/10=160.

So HMI is similar but not HID cos it's new and unique? :wtf::rolleyes:
A whole new concept.

Well if it has an HDMI 2.1 port then it could be interesting because that is a thing that the LG is missing sadly.

Oh, and call it UWQXGA as well. 3840x1600 is pretty much an ultrawide "equivalent" to the WQXGA res, 2560x1600.

I've seen it in preorder in a eurpean website for 1900 Euro (No tax), so like $2100.. And in a Chinese Website for 20k yen, which is like $3k.

"HMI Interface"
So it's got a Human Machine Interface Interface? So we can interface with the interface?
Also, what's with that awful bottom bezel??

The HMI is in part what's causing the bottom bezel.

Wow, this is legit terrible, HMI? Is msi for real!? :D

With the amount of useless bullshit marketing and rgb GAMING!!! design if it had hdmi 2.1 they would surely include it in the press release.

What? I don't see this HMI appealing at all. It's just a bunch of features I don't need in a monitor.
Moreover, that front facing RGB light is the worst one. Why would one need front facing RGB lighting on a monitor?
